Yeah. Before you say "Try Optifine!", I have tried Standard, Smooth and Multi-Core. No progress really.
In fact I think Optifine makes my entire computer crash, but it could just be the fact that I have a glitch where online play makes me crash, and I had been playing a server just before I crashed on SP.
Anyway, at best, my get about 150 fps, and that's when I'm in the middle of nowhere looking in the direction with the least blocks. My render distance is at normal.
I do think it might have to do with the fact that no matter how many times I download Java 6 x64, Minecraft tells me I'm using Java x32.
I have tried going into that control stuff and changing that thing I don't remember the name of, to no avail. But I wasn't pleased with the tutorials lack of detail.
