i lost all sound in minecraft it worked fine in 1.2.4 i updated and lost the sound i re downloaded minecraft and deleted all folders tried a lot of stuff but nothing works...any1 know how to fix it?
I think I have the solution (maybe!) it's to do with your resources folder, every time Ioad up minecraft the resources folder if half empty so I've downloaded a copy off the interwebs and am going to see if that helps, I'll report back soon!
I was trying to fix the "out of memory" issue by redesignating more ram using this. After it didn't work, I deleted the entire .bat file and tried mc again. The grass walking sounds (ONLY) sounded far-away and tinny. i tried to fix it by deleting mc and updating drivers. It found an update, and now no sound works at all in mc. HELP MEH!!!!!!!!!!!
I found a fix, guys!
Open up minecraft as you normally would, then open up your Task Manager. Then set javaw.exe to High Priority by right clicking it.
Yay for Minecraft!

Okay guys, please reply.
I found a second fix, as the changing priority trick only worked once.
If you guys say that this isn't working, I'll make a quick video explaining my new, complete fix.

I'm starting to get pissed. Plus I can't update 90% of the time. It stops randomly mid-update.

Besides, my Minecraft worked fine with 1.2.4.
I use Realtek High Definition Audio, if that's what you're asking for.

It seems that Minecraft doesn't work if you have Java JDK installed.
