Was that a typo?
But yes, I agree with the above post. Make sure you update your drivers. However, I would doubt that you'd find any updates for win 8, as it is not fully released.

NO, I'VE NEVER HAD KUMQUAT JUICE....yet.
I'll update this sig when I do!
Drivers are up to date, everything worked perfectly in Windows 7. At this point it looks like we won't be able to play Minecraft until Windows 8 gets the official release... It may be a consumer preview but millions of people are running Windows 8 right now and we don't plan to go back (mainly because in order to install Windows 7 we'll have to lose all of our data, while upgrading from 7-8 didn't wipe any data).
I may be able to shed some light on this: See when you upgraded to windows 8 you downloaded it off the net correct? And then you installed it on your primary hard drive? Very BAD! What you should have done is separated a 20gig+ piece of your local C: Drive into another drive like say T: or S: etc. You can do this when you either A are installing a new OS on a new computer that has no previous OS or B do it manually through disk management in Administrative Tools. So instead of getting rid of windows 7 you could have just run Windows 8 in parallel with it. So that when you boot you can choose which one you want. Best of all you keep all your data and you can always delete windows 8 from the separated piece and merge it back with the local C: drive thus restoring it to it's original size. Please check with a local computer fixer for more info on how to partition a drive.
Well I partitioned my drive after the fact and installed Windows 7 on the partitioned drive, however all that did is install the OS. When I boot to that drive none of the required tools are present (for example the Intel WiFi utility so I can't get on the internet when I boot to Windows 7).
I assume if I had installed 8 that way it would've been the same way. Besides I'm not getting rid of 8 until the official release. I love it and EVERYTHING except for Minecraft works fine.

So I just bought Total Miner and I'll play that.
