I'm trying to host a Minecraft Server for me and some of my friends. I forwarded the port 25565 and using a software, I tested that it is successfully forwarded. I can join the server using my Internal IP and using "localhost" but I cant login using my external IP. I get the error "Failed to connect to server Server refused connect: connect". The server software is working fine (Like I said, I can access it using my internal ip) but the external IP does not work. I tried disabling Windows Firewall as well as my Anti-Virus Firewall but it still does not work. If it helps, I am using a Huawei hg256 router.
You, being inside your network, cannot reliably test whether your external IP is functioning or not. Not all routers / WAPs will U-turn packets from the Internal network, back to the Internal network via the external network port forwarding.
Those port forwarding web sites have a test function which will see if it's working, or you can ask your friends to test it.
But, "connection refused" is usually a bad sign, because something is actively rejecting the connection. (as opposed to the packets being dropped or "getting lost'). Are you sure the port forwarding is configured correctly?
Well, I did test the port using a port forwarding software, it says the port is forwarded. I dont know what else to do now. Thanks for replying. I hope someone gives the solution soon.

This is the 2nd result on google: if its refuse there then the port is not properly forwarded.
