Okay, this has been frustrating me for a little while. I'm unsure if this is an intended feature or just a little glitch, so...yeah, I'm asking about it.
Anyways, basically I've set up a two-way minecart-thing; one rail / path, but I've made it so that...okay. Let's say you're at point A and the Minecart is at point A. Get it to point B easily: just send a redstone impulse through a redstone setup. However, I've been trying to make it so that you don't have to go all the way to point B to bring it to point A again; you're at point A, Minecart is at point B and you want it back at A? Just send the impulse again and it will send it back.
And honestly, pretty sure I've got it figured out. So what's my problem, you ask?
Repeaters.
Even when I have no buttons, levers, etc. on either side (that being said, said repeaters are far away enough from any redstone torches, powered rails, etc etc), thus no signal being sent, my redstone repeaters will start a new impulse.
What the hell?
I've looked around and don't recall seeing any other threads about this, or anything like this in the wiki.
Anyway, thanks to anyone who can help with this! This is just...really irking me. Of course, just let me know if you need any other info, screenshots, etc. etc. ^^;
Please help me by clicking on le egg!

Yeah, I've disabled any source of pulses, note what I meant about the no levers/buttons thing. ^^;
Okay, screenshots. Got 'em.

As you can see in these, both point B and A have no way of any pulses to start (the redstone torch you see in the background is a block or two away from the wire, btw).
Check underground and such for any redstone torches or something, or take down the whole thing and rebuild it so you can pinpoint the exact spot, or see if it was just a glitch. :smile.gif:
Okay, thank you! I'll do that sometime tomorrow, but as of now I need to get some sleep. xD
(Also, last time I recall there were no redstone torches I set up underground)
If anyone else thinks that they may have an answer to this problem, feel free to give an input. In the meantime I'll give a status update sometime tomorrow. :3
Update: Okay. So I disassembled everything and redid it and then there was no impulse running through the repeaters; everything was fine. However, once I actually pressed the button that sends the impulse, well...
The wire connected directly to the input goes off, of course. However, it's as if the wires around all the repeaters (basically all the wires at that) are stuck on the "on" position.

But this screenshot shows that the repeaters are starting new impulses.
They even meant to do that? Looked around and didn't really see anything on that... :\

This is...really odd.
