I've just bought a brand new HP laptop, I downloaded and played MineCraft a little, I noticed lags while looking to longer distances (E.G: Mountain infront of me by 15 blocks).
Here is some of my laptop features(System and graphics thingies..).
With 8GB of RAM it should run fine but I suggest you try closing down everything else open whilst your playing Minecraft to see if that helps if not it could be your Graphics Card.
Yes, I've just tried it, and nothing new happened, What should i do for my Graphic Card?
Laptop graphic cards are extremely limited on what they can do.
unless you own a Alienware or something of sort. - Its definitely graphic card.
You cant do much.
since its proprietary graphics card in the HP laptop.
try lowering the resolution of the game in game settings.
(which will visually makes the game suck).
Also, most people do not clean their computer of junk.
try these 2 to clean out the crap.
will help free RAM and temp files bottleknecking your system,
specially laptops which are extremely limited.

Well, nothing really junk here, I bought this laptop 3 days ago.
Also, playing in low resolution is suck, Which ruins the game really bad :sad.gif:.
I don't think the problem is because of RAM, there is 8 GB RAM, and that's alot.
(Currently, I'm looking through HP support, to see if i can do something about this.)
- Waiting for more help, thanks!
OK, I've done it,It solved most of the problem! but there is some lags whilst I mine a stone/dirt/etc, and it effects for some time, any extra thing to make it better?

Lag or normal behavior? Mining takes time. The better your tool the faster it goes.
I meant after you mined it, It makes lag then it appears :S.
