So i had to re-install windows and restore my computer (stupid virus) and now minecraft will not launch. I have been playing minecraft for a very long time so it is not an outdated card.

Bad video card drivers!

-Reinstalling Java

whats the graphics card model?

if you haven't you have to install your video card drivers again same thing happened to me

Find out what kind of Card you have. Then go on google and type in [make] drivers. Then on that website it should ask for Model, Windows type, kind of computer etc so it can find the perfect match.
