While I was exploring the nether, a Ghast decided that I would make good target practice. I proceded to hit its fireballs back at it, and to my luck, it was over nether-rack so that I could collect its drops. However, when I came to the spot, all that was there was 3-4 XP orbs and 2 gunpowder. I thought they were supposed to drop ghast tears. Is this a bug?
I am running Minecraft 1.0.0 on Windows Vista with the FM DebugMod (fixes graphs covering words in F3 screen). This mod replaced the minecraft.jar/net/minecraft/client/Minecraft.class and put in acq.class and DebugGraph.class in minecraft.jar.
like all mobs, there is a CHANCE that it will drop items, and when a mob drops more than one, then there is a CHANCE that it will drop one or the other, or both. so no, you were just unlucky...sorry

From the way his post sounded, it seemed that he thought that the gunpowder drop was replaced by the ghast tear, which, to his credit, I thought the same thing. Your response was more harsh than it had needed to be in my eyes. Have a good day sir/mam.
