Ever since 1.0.0 came out, I haven't been able to connect to minecraft.net from the launcher. I open the launcher, the usual "loading changelog" (occasionally it says "loading news") coupled with a bunch of HTML and CSS comes up, and usually if I wait about three seconds the changelog comes up. Ever since 1.0.0, the connection times out and the changelog doesn't come up.
After I click "Login", it takes an eternity. Eventually, it tells me that it can't connect and I have to play offline. Which is a bit of a hinderance, because I like my skin.
I think this is because the login approval servers are clogged from all the people logging in to play the new Minecraft.
I'd really like some help with this. I can't get onto any SMP servers, and my friend and I would like to do a puzzle map.
That sounds like something is blocking Minecraft's connection to the server on your end brah. Check your firewalls, and make sure you don't have any bugs in that system k?

“Take the first step, and your mind will mobilize all its forces to your aid. But the first essential is that you begin. Once the battle is startled, all that is within and without you will come to your assistance.” ~ Robert Collier
