Trouble with Entities

All my entities are flashing black and back to their colors. My game lags and crashes if I generate too many chunks. Blocks are fine, but everything else is just bad. If I place too many blocks, it freezes and takes up my entire CPU trying to figure it out. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled it multiple times.

Its so bad I cannot even make a screenshot.

Please help.

T2600 @2.16GHz
994MHz 1.98 gb ram
nividia x16000 graphics
its been fine until 2 days ago...
its the first macbook pro and its running xp
