Hey,
So recently I got a new rig, its really nice and all and works games like wonders, except minecraft.
Whenever I try to play minecraft my computer starts making loud noises, coming from the box itself. It sounds like the fan is moving really fast or something, but I think its the CPU fan. Which concerns me even more.
Another problem I get is on large crazy maps (such as the indiana jones map that was posted on the front page of the forums a few days back) my game will "run out of memory"
I never experienced these problems on my old computer which was windows XP
My new computer is Windows 7 64 bit. I don't think my other specs will be of any use.

For this question, if you let java auto install, you need to manually download the 64bit version.
Allright so I downloaded it but at the time I don't have time to check the crashes, but I did have time to run minecraft quick and it is still making my computer make loud noises, which much more advanced games don't even cause the slightest noise. Any help for that?
this is very weird.
Do you think you can get a video of your pc doing the loud noise? i have a feeling that if someone can hear it they would know. IDK about that but with a video of it doing it, someone could find out whats wrong.

It may not fix your computer problem, but it should fix the out of memory problems.
Ah, well I never manually installed a 64 bit version of it on this thanks ill try that and get back soon.
EDIT: Well im having troubles finding the 64-bit version of Java, can anyone help with a link?
