Hi, my problem is that minecraft keeps updating between 35-45 chunks even if I stand still. I mean is stupid to update chunks when it is totally unnecesary. Before these newest versions of minecraft when I stood still there were not chunk updates.
You could probably say... ¿What's the problem with it?
Well... when minecraft keeps updating chunks my fps keep low. Just like that.
Chunk updates are not the same thing as loading/generating chunks. Updates happen when there's redstone circuitry in operation, or when water/lava physics need to be run, or trees/plants growing etc.
You can't stop it from happening without breaking the game :smile.gif:
What you say could be possible but why is this happening now and not before?
I mean in older versions (like 1.7) when i stood still there were not chunk updates (Defrag mode = 0 chunk updates)
How can this be explained? There must be a solution

Minecraft always updating chunks = Minecraft always running at 30 fps
My theory for this problem is that water is always moving so the texture is always updating otherwise I don't have idea.
My specs are:
Minecraft settings: Maxed out.
S.O: Windows xp
Ram: 4 gb DDR2 800 mhz
Gpu: Geforce 9800gtx+
Cpu: Intel core 2 duo E4500 2.20 GHZ
I know I have a bottleneck because of my processor but I think this is enought to play minecraft.
EDIT: And also, is it in multiplayer? becuase if so, its your connetion.

This problem seems to be only in singleplayer
