Why do I always get this image when I try to go to minecraft.net? I just want to buy the game but I can't because even the cached page won't let me buy it. I was hoping to get it this weekend because the 2 for 1 thing is going on. I tried Google Chrome, Firefox and IE but I still can't get on. I've never been able to get onto the site. I have my computer connected directly to my modem right now so it's not a router problem. Thanks for the help!

Sometimes it does that to me too. Instead of typing minecraft.net, type in 'www.minecraft.net'
It always works for me. Hope it helps!

Take a look at file C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts (you can open it with Notepad), make sure there are no references to minecraft.net there.

I think you found the problem, this is what it says in my hosts file:


##Hosts file edit
127.0.0.1 www.minecraft.net
127.0.0.1 minecraft.net
127.0.0.1 194.28.157.42
