My world was originally not a snow world. By this, I mean, when I first made it, there was no snow.
However, now, it is suddenly snowing and it really sucks because my old fountains and pools, etc. are freezing up.
I would much rather it rain in my area. Is there a way I can change this about my world..? Even if it is just around my castle..? Does MCEdit do this..?
I created this world a while back about a little after minecarts were first made. For a while, it was perfectly fine. It was ever since the biomes were introduced and I've just had enough and would like helping seeing if this can be changed.

This can't be true (at least, in my case). Like I said, I've been playing since biomes have been introduced.. how long ago..? It's never rained in my area - it always snows.

You have to move it to a different biome
Yeah but, how..? If you just mean re-building well.. that is an obvious solution but definitely not a convenient or plausible one when you have an essential city you are working with.
This guy had 3 seconds to read your post. (one place with rain biome will never snow unless you divide the zero or minecraft isnt 1.7.3 anymore. But weather seems to be universal, if its raining somewhere, then its raining every rainbiome and snowing at every snowy biome)
My suggestion is to use MCEdit to copy the chunks to another place in your world :/
or, in a simple way. put glass in the higher point in your world (y 127), filling a giant area it will probably "hide" rain and snow efficiently. (Final note: If it rains somewhere with glass over the top of the world, the world will still be dark and you still will have a extra chance of catching a fish since its raining)

Ahkay, that seems alright. I mean, my world is old so it already has some pretty obnoxious chunks in it. I was curious if that was even possible so I suppose I'll have to learn me some mcedit..
