Hello!
I have been playing minecraft since 1.3 and am now only recently having a problem. This problem was not in 1.5_01 but as you can deduce from the creation of this thread, I have it now.
To describe it, I would say that it is relatively minor but REALLY annoying. Every second or so the screen will skip a frame, or "jitter". On the F3-meter it appears as a large spike on the graph.
I am having no framerate issues, and all the ingame settings make no difference
It isn't a hard drive issue. I'm having this problem with 1.6.x , and have seen a number of posts from other individuals experiencing it, as well. It doesn't seem to be incredibly common, so I sometimes worry that it will go unnoticed due to there being so many other bugs that need to be fixed. I think we need to give it a catchy name, like the "lag spike bug," so someone pays attention to it.
Hmmm, if other people have the problem also, I think we should file an official bug report, under the name "Jitter bug" :biggrin.gif: :biggrin.gif:.
Also, if you do have this problem, you might notice that little hard drive light flash on everytime it jitters, so that is why I thought it was something to do with the hard drive. :tongue.gif:

I am pretty sure that it is a hard drive access problem or something as I looked at this post with the same topic, although now dead.

I have not done anything to the settings of my hard drive in any way.
I am on Windows 7 64-bit.
If somebody could provide a definate answer to this dilemma I would be greatly appreciative.
