I'm not sure this is in the right place, but it IS support, and I need support...

Okay, so when I'm trying to put Mod .class things into my minecraft.jar, it keeps saying that it can't put them in because the programs are being used in another program, which means there's something open and it can't put it in. It still says it even if those two folders (the mod folder and minecraft.jar folder) are only open.

Close minecraft window or/and the browser minecraft tab.

Yeah, everything is closed but those two folders.

control-alt-delete and bring up the task manager. Check to make sure you don't have javaw.exe process still going. If it is, it might still be tying up minecraft.jar even though the game itself isn't open and running.

ok i recently added a mod to minecraft but when i tried to open it after it either gave me a black screen or just froze on the done loading screen. i tried replacing the mincraft.jar file folder with a backup, and it seemed to work except the backup i used is out dated and i can no longer use multi player any help on fixing my minecraft.jar folder preferebly or updating my backup version?

Delete your minecraft.jar file and start minecraft. It will redownload the file to a fresh copy. Then recheck the install steps for the mod because after mod black screens are usually a result of not following the directions correctly.

k now it freezes on the updating minecraft screen and just says done loading

i've been having the same problems. i downloaded Modloader, installed it CORRECTLY. i followed every instruction to the point. then i installed a modpack by cjb. again, to the point. my minecraft wouldnt open, it would show a black screen, if i by chance got my minecraft to open, all my goldblocks would have fire in them, my water wasnt showing up, i used my texture pack patcher, NOTHING.

now my minecraft is totally ****ed up. cant play it unless i "force update" or whatever even then it still does the fire in my goldblocks and ****s up my water tiles. im so pissed there is no solution to this yet lol

i deleted all the files from modloader and modpack from my minecraft.jar

hi, i have a same problem except it's kinda wierd. I run up my task manager (To start, hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete) and I checked and there's no javaw.exe running, but when i delete the META-INF folder. It says 'The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process' and when i delete my minecraft.jar it says 'The action cannot be completed because the file is open in Java (TM) Platform SE binary. I really need to install the Piston mod,Risugami's Modloader and Arrow mod. This is really wierd. Should i restart or something. I took me 10 days to find Piston mod and this? Weird. I'll give you for helping me out. If so, I might give you a hugz or :tnt:. thanks!

Same problem as original, except when I try to stop the process it doesn't do anything. Do I need to run as administrator or something?

This is driving me mad! I'm trying to install Siegecraft. I was required to also install Modloader, forge and modloader mp. I did this successfully and got all the 1.0.0 versions. I put all the files into the minecraft.jar file using WinRar. I deleted the Meta Inf folder after a bit of trouble and started Minecraft up. When I was playing, I noticed no differences, there were no changes and the mod wasn't working. I closed Minecraft and opened the folders again. Meta Inf was back. It won't stay gone. It keeps coming back. I've checked task manager, and theres no java thingy there, so I'm pretty sure it's the Meta Inf returning. How do I get goddamned rid of it permenantly?
