I'm the operator of a private minecraft server. Java is up to date on the server (Windows XP Pro SP3 based), and the issue appears both under bukkit and the default server software.
The issue: me, and all but one of my players can connect to the server without any issues. But one player constantly gets "end of stream" and "connection reset" errors after being connected only 30 seconds, no matter what he is doing, whether digging, walking, or just standing there. However, he can connect to any other server fine, without any issues.
TL,DNR: the connection problem only happens when this specific player connects to my server, and my server only.
Both me and the player have the latest java update. he is running Windows 7 Home Premium x64.
We have tried different ports on the server, same issue. Connecting directly to IP and avoiding DNS doesn't help.
I read a post here abot adjusting the buffers in the network card's device manager, but he does not have this option on his Intel card. And it shouldnt matter anyway if he can connect to any other server fine?
So needless to say I'm at wits end. is there anything else I can do to fix this problem? O_o
