Well i created a server and people can join, but do i have to turn on my Minecraft_server in order for my server to stay up? i was wondering, maybe there might be a simliar post, but i tried to search it on google but it doesnt help much.
and also people who are having trouble making their own server should ask me and i can probably help you with complete detail.
please help me i have no idea what is wrong with my minecraft i was just playing it today and then i logged out and when i came back on my minecraft was stuck at this screen that just says updating minecraft and it fills up about 95% and wont move please help
so is there a way i can do it other than turning on my computer with Minecraft_server running all day and night?
There are two ways to do it: host the server on one of your computers, or have someone else host it on one of theirs. Someone has to host the server on a computer somewhere in order for someone else to connect to it.
Anyone can host a server. I imagine it is possible for you to send your friend the world folder from your server and he can take over hosting it from that point on.
Send him the whole world folder. Zip it up and email it to him or put it on a flash drive or something, and he'll extract it into the same folder as his minecraft_server.jar and he can let his computer run day and night to host the server.
