weird shadows

anybody know why these weird shadows appear while i play beta? it happened during alpha too, but not when i played classic

yeah and it even happens to my character

pigs, sheep, chickens, and cows are also affected

Make sure your drivers are up to date as I bet it's one of those simple solutions thats causing this for you.
Make sure GPU drivers and Java and everything is updated and stuff.

i know my java is up to date. it got updated a couple of weeks ago
