My netbook BSODed whilst playing Minecraft on fullscreen (first time it has happened), now it will not recognise the world which I was playing on, even though the save file is still in the saves folder.
I have just quickly gone through the first 8 pages on the support board, and then tried searching, about this issue, as I have seen it mentioned before, but I could not find any mention of it now.
How can I get Minecraft to recognise the world? It is important as since 1.2 came out newly generated worlds give me 2-5 FPS, but the old map has 10-15, so I have to get it working to be able to play until Notch sorts the performance problems.
The exact same thing happened to me. me computer has never gotten this black screen and crashed before.
Now i backed up my world just incase but minecraft always says its empty so i tried pressing empty and it created a new world but when i press world4 on cartograph and take a picture of the map its still the old world with all my stuff in it.
honestly i will probably stop playing minecraft now since the multiplayer server i used to play on crashed so i lost so much stuff that took enormous amount of time and now my main singeplayer save is gone too?.,..
