I have been playing for hours no sweat, i log off check the forums and see the latest patch is out for MCpatcher. I use it to install my new texture pack and then log back in. I found that my world has been reverted.

it has not been Deleted, but instead reverted back 15 saves or so... everything i have built over the past 2 days is gone, but things i built before then are still there.

What could of caused this and can i fix it?

EDIT: This should probably be in support or something.

New Info:
Turns out in my other world my character was moved... he spawned up underground and proceeded to suffocate. Dunno what that was about.

It jacked with 2 of my save files, gunna check the 3rd.

Mods tend to do that. Backup your stuff before you install mods. It happens to all of us. :smile.gif:

but a mod doesnt change my save folder... which means there should be a way to get it back. Also, why would it have reverted several saves... im pretty sure minecraft doesnt save a copy of the world for every save i make.

Your savefile decided to go into real life; It got hijacked and promptly let you suffer.

So then are we saying that its gone for good? we dont know why it reverted a few saves? I mean i still have the house that i built not 10 min before i built the ladder going up a mountain.(which is now gone)

Am I correct in assuming you had McRegion installed? If so, the save reverted back to before you had McRegion, because it changes the way the things are saved.

I have experienced this twice. One time it was in a modded file so yeah I know what happened there, But I started a new save with all mods gone except betterlight, bettergrass, wildgrass, and patched it with the HD patcher. I was building and underground tunnel to my mine and I had cleared out a wall, I pause to check something then just exit out by pressing the X and then came back and the wall I knocked out came back.

What I was trying to say was, go into the "saves" file under %appdata%/.minecraft and right click on the saves you value and copy them to another folder. (I.E. onto your desktop or just somewhere that they can be found easily.) Doing this will make it so that (if done often) you can just delete the save that was messed up and replace it with the copy. ALWAYS make copies of the saves you like a lot.

Ahh yes, i completly forgot about that. if i reinstall MC region would it come back?

It should. If you don't want McREgion, use RegionTool. It's in the McRegion thread,but its kind of hard to use, but someone posted a .bat that helps a lot in using it. Page 3 or something.

You mustve not saved. This happens to me alot. When you exit minecraft (or even just tab out) press escape, and then "save and quit."
Wait until its finished.
