My minecraft stopped working! Its a blackscreen! i deleted the minecraft folder the .jar and keep doing it. I deleted everything on my system with Minecraft in it! I've re-downloaded it and still a blackscreen. All i have is my saves. I'm on a mac
No. It's a sandbox game. As long as you don't interfere with other people's enjoyment of the game, there is no reason to think that doing that would be cheating.
I have a similar problem, it only happens on a specific server. About 5-20 minutes into gameplay on that server, it turns to a black screen and stops responding... its not really pissing me off but its stopping me from going on said server.
PC bastards can eat it. My mac runs Minecraft beautifully. Try a complete redownload. To pass time while you wait for the download, punch a PC in the face. It should work just fine then. If not, run, like, AVG.

This isn't a PC vc Mac flame-war thread. This is a support thread. All users who were involved in the flame have been warned.

If it's a support thread, why didn't you move it to the support sub-forum?
OP, stop buying overpriced hardware.
Look again. I was busy handing out warnings to the flamers

Can i post my keylogger site for the pc lovers? Jk :biggrin.gif: BTW thanks!! I had too unistal minecraft. But i found what I did wrong :F i downloaded a mod made a folder name minecraft.jar ;D i deleted it and it got better :biggrin.gif:
I had trouble with this a while ago too. What I did to fix it after an hour or so of scrounging through files on my computer was go into java preferences which can be accessed through the search box in the finder and made sure that I had java 5.1 or 5.0 or something checked. Some modding tools require it to be unchecked, but minecraft itself requires it to be checked. Hope this helps dude, and don't buy what you don't wanna buy!
People thought I was trolling?
If it isn't working on mac, buy a PC.
You have the means to possibly solve your issue.
If you know how to fix a problem you have, but don't do it, don't complain. That's my mindset.
Have a good day.

I don't believe the problem is the Computer. Its the fact that you deleted the entire folder.
Usually the common cure is to delete the BIN folder, not the entire thing. Oops?
Shut the **** up.
I'm not exactly sure what the problem is, but maybe you should try to update java or something?

Mac is silly for gaming.
Just saying.
Also, over-defensive people. We're not committing genocide on your race.

I was saying the blue screen of death as a joke. Sorry it came off the as a insult.
