Today I decided to put on my 3D Anaglyph glasses, and check out Minecraft in 3D glory. But I couldn't... Cause you see...
At roughly 1 - 1 1/2 blocks away, the 3D Anaglyph is displayed correctly and the game can be viewed in 3D for those objects. However, if you're closer or further away than this, the game continues to spread the 3D Anaglyph out to the point that it can't be combined by your eyes.
The two pictures are spaced too far apart from one another, so what should be a 3D Anaglyph combining to create a 3D image just becomes a red and blue image superimposed on top of the games' graphics, blocking out your ability to see. If you could fix the 3D Anaglyph so that it works, that would be appreciated.
the 3d in minecraft is different than most.
you have to actually adjust your eyes so that to look at that mountain way in the distance your eyes are adjusted to be looking at an object way in the distance.(if you know what I mean)
like how looking at your hand and then looking at your wall requires two different adjustments...
I don't know how to describe this any clearer.

No I get what you're saying, and I'm grateful for your response trying to help me. Unfortunately that's not the problem. What I'm referring to is the that Anaglyph is spread too far apart that it's not possible for the images to combine either in peripheral or in regular vision. To give you an idea of how far apart I'm talking, an object that's only say 10 blocks away has its anaglyph spread out 5 blocks wide. It's far too wide apart.
Also it's not possible to focus on objects within 1 1/2 cubes (the only view distance where it's aligned properly) at all times. While I'm quite sure an Anaglyph is supposed to be slightly 'curved,' its too far apart in the curve and thus it doesn't work to give a sense of depth at all.
I would post screenshots to show you what I mean, but honestly anyone here can recreate what I'm talking about by simply turning 3D Anaglyph on and look around. The Anaglyph's spread needs to be normalized because it's spreading too far apart.
I just found a pair of glasses and was having the exact same problem. I found it was a little better when I held the glasses upside down. I'm assuming this has something to do with dominant eye-non-dominant eye issues.
Ahhah, honestly, I thought the 3D Anaglyph feature was a joke when I first had played the game. I donned my li'l brother's pair of "Journey to the Center of the Earth" red and blues, and tried it out. ... Obviously, unless your head is shaped like that of a toad... you're definitely not going to be able to get this feature to work if it continues to function the way it does. :tongue.gif:
It saddens me that in mid-to-late 2012, this problem still exists. :/
I'm considering using manyaglyph to try to fix this issue, but only once my desire to view Minecraft in 3D is great enough.
I think my apathy is shared by most users, so that's why there has been no true fix to this issue.

but then again I suppose it may be due to the fact that I can do the opposite of crossing my eyes.
whatever that is called.
so maybe the info in my first post was wrong.
sorry.
