You can also use TreasureChest to make backup copies of all your worlds. That way, if its repair function does not fix this problem, you can safely delete everything in your .minecraft folder, than re-download all of it by connecting to the main Minecraft site.

Was you main world's size displaying as 0.0mb before the spawning update was implemented? Mine started crashing after the update to revert the new spawning code.
I'm using windows 7 64bit. I was using the bridge block mod on my main map, I suspect it might have something to do with that.
Same issue here 8(

Yes my world was displaying 0.0mb and that was the only map that i wasn't using the bridge block on Looks like we have the same problem...
I'm gonna go into mc edit and delete all my bridge blocks and try again
EDIT: I fixed it... just go into mc edit and delete your bridge blocks! works perfectly!
My world was also 0.0 MB but I didn't have the bridge block mod.
My suggestion would be to use MCEdit to delete any blocks that are part of any mod, and not one of the basic blocks in Minecraft. Otherwise, backup your save, then delete the bin folder in your .minecraft folder, see if that fixes things.

Hmm, I tried deleting my bridge blocks to no avail, maybe I missed some.....Woot, I missed a block. All fixed now. Cheers for the idea!
Gratz on getting your world back though! :smile.gif:
