About a month ago, I had to format and reinstall my OS. Stupidly, I didn't write down my password for Minecraft (or my username, which I believe is jholden42); now I can't log in. Further, the website's password reset form doesn't recognize either of the two email addresses I use. As per the instructions on that page, I've tried emailing Notch, but I haven't gotten any response (as, I assume, he's understandably very busy). That said, what should I do at this point?
I'm convinced that, if you don't remember the username, you didn't buy the game with it.
...You're absolutely right. I tried a few other possible usernames, and lo and behold, I found the one that resulted in an email sent to one of the aforementioned two primary email accounts.
The password reset form still should've recognized that email address, but at least I got that sorted out.
Thanks for the shove in the right direction! :smile.gif:
Thanks much! :smile.gif:
Otherwise, there isn't much you can do, except maybe get a refund by sending the transaction ID to [email protected]
Transaction ID can be found on the payment in PayPal.
