I am currently have a ridiculous problem with my cpu and port forwarding. I've tried other sources and programs and almost everything. I go to my port forwarding page for my router (linksys wrt110) and i get everything working until.....
i go to this page that has a url of http://{myip}/post_iptable.cgi
i have {myip} as my ip address obviously, and then the page is completely white.
i have looked on youtube, other forum pages and found BUPKES. I really need help with this problem.

i understand how scissors can beat paper, and how a rock can beat scissors, but there's no way paper can beat rock. Is paper supposed to magically wrap around rock and leave it immobile? Why can't paper do this to scissors?
YES that didn't help at all sry that website was less useful then the you tube vids I watched
(sry about tone just a little irritated) :tongue.gif:

If you didn't understand that simple sentence on port forwarding then you probably don't have the knowledge to correctly forward a port on the router. Show us a picture of your port forwarding, what you did on your router and I'll tell you if you set it up correctly.

2answer. I saw a youtube vid that said to have one for TCP and one for UDP
3answer. i have no idea, 25565 didn't work
4answer. Vipre, my firewall allows port 25565 and 80. I just did that around 2 hours ago.

1. I find it hard to believe that is your IP address. The last set in the number is a 1. that is usually reserved for the router's internal IP.
Do this, Start > Run > Type "cmd" without the quotations and press enter. On the DOS prompt, type IPCONFIG and press enter. Your IP address will be shown there. What is it?
The default gateway is the IP address of your router.
2. That's stupid. There is no need for that. Also, what port are you using for your minecraft server?
3. 25565 should work if all other settings are correct. Where did you get 3306 from?
4. I don't know vipre. But it's good you set it to allow port 25565. Although, for now I'd turn it off as it can be the culprit. Once we get the server to work, you can then turn it back on and see if it was the thing preventing you from connecting.
EDIT: firewall is not the problem
and i don't know if it matters, but my url is http://192.168.1.1/AppSPF.htm.
I tried changing it to 192.168.1.102, but my cpu SPAZZED.

1. turn off Vipre
2. Go back into router port forwarding settings
3. On the first minecraft, change External Port to 25565
4. Change internal port to 25565
5. Set Protocol to BOTH
6. change "To IP Address" to 192.168.1.102
5. Make sure "Enabled" is checked.
6. remove the "Minecraft2" setting.
7. Save settings.
8. retry connecting.

this is right before i press save changes.
But actually, let me ask you a few questions first...
1. What is the IP address of the computer running the server?
2. why do you have two settings for minecraft?
3. What is that port you are using? Looks like 3306. Why are you using something other than the minecraft default port setting?
4. does your computer have a software firewall like Zonealarm or similar? Do you have windows firewall set to on?

http://192.168.1.1/AppSPF.htm is the internal IP address of your router, not your computer.
Show me a picture of what you did to the port forwarding settings.
Show me a picture of your server.properties
Are you running the server on a different computer as you are running the single player client?
there
and that's the server.properties
How are you trying to connect to the server? computer on the LAN? Outside computer? What are you inputting to access it?
