Okay, so I did all of this, word, for word, letter for letter, space for space, and when I'm done it says the port is unreachable...? I'm using a wgt624 V4 router and yea... could anyone help me? I'm using a windows vista 64 bit if that makes any difference.
how do i find out my router?
i have a modem idk if thats the same or whatever
on it says
linksys Wireless - G ADSL Gateway, model WAG54G
I dont know if that changes anything
there are simular models on the list of routers but this one isnt on there
ive gone through the steps and ****
i rote i ip address then the checker says my port isnt up
i didnt select a router coz i dnt have one thats on there which might be he problem
can anyone help?
sorry i dnt make much sense im fully confused
Okay, I completed the steps and forwarded my ports and it was all fine. But upon checking the status of the port, it claims that it's closed. If I try to start the server.bat, it shows an "Error in main loop". There must be something wrong somewhere along the way, but I can't figure out what is going on. It's not blocked by my firewall, either.
I have a motorola sbg900, and I can't seem to enter the gateway page. Whatever I put, it just refreshes the page. I don't get a "password wrong" message or anything, but that may be the problem. Where can I find my username/password?
I have done everything you said word for word, got the right router model, set for TCP/UDP, basically followed the pictures exactly. My IP was very similar to yours in the video but I am guessing that my router's IP is a different thing from my IP address.
When I got to update my router it says success and failed about the same number of times each, some commands succeed and others fail.
Than it said it was done updating and "mcrft" was added to my router
But the Checker says that it is unreachable on TCP and UDP! :sad.gif:
You might have something else blocking it, for example a firewall or a SECOND router. Some anti-viruses do block off ports too, i suggest toying with any programs that protect you and seeing what you can come up with.
Help! I followed your instrcutions to the letter, but when i follow the link to connect to the server i get an error message saying "Connection Lost - Illegal Name." I am using the correct link and haven't deviated from your instructions at all. My friend can connect to the server using the external URL but i can't connect using either of them.
OK I've sorted out the problem I was having earlier (that I could not connect to the server myself but others could), and now i can connect to the server but others CAN'T. I believe it has something to do with the fact that my wireless adapter renews my IP evey time it connects to my router. Anyway, i tried to fix the problem by updating the port to my current local ip, using Simple Port Forwarding. I have used this method to fix it before, but it is no longer working for some reason. I have made sure to update my server files to the new version 1.101 or whatever it is, and it was working fine yesterday, but when i tried today to update the router, it tells me "Invalid LAN IP address, please enter again." I have tried updating using every IP address i can, including my router's, but nothing works. When others try to connect to the server it says the server is down, when it is clearly running. PFPortChecker says it is unreachable on both TCP and UDP protocols. Can anyone help?
EDIT: I just tried to delete the port and create it again, but when i clocked "Delete Service" I recieved an error message saying "This service is used by the rules function, you cannot edit/delete it! Please delete corresponding rules first!" I have no idea what this means, but does it help anyone understand what's going on here?
