Is it possible to do this one a laptop that is not directly connected (wifi connected, not wired to it) to a wireless router?

I was having a little trouble at first but I figured it out. Because it's not the pro version, you have to manually add the ports. It's pretty simple. Search "windows firewall" and it'll pull up the program. Then, just add in the ports.

Okay, I need some help. I do everything perfectly until I have to open Tools>Windows Firewall Port Exceptions

I can't open..? It's faded as in I can't even open the dropdown box. I redid the process again and it didn't work. Help?

the program simpleportforward crashes when i ask it to do more than be idle

I am soglad I found a real tutorial on how to port forward!
But... when I use Simple Port Forwarding, the program, and I click update router, it starts updating, and then Windows asks me for a password. I have no idea what password it wants, (I'm an admin on my W7 computer)so no matter what I type in, rather it be the username and password I put into Simple Port Forwarding or my Windows account password, it always fails. Has anyone had this problem?

can you help me when i say go to Tools > Windows firewall port exceptions > add current ports list it doesn't let me go to windows firewall port excepions so im stuck on that please help me

if i use this will it mess up my router on a noticeable level?

The greyed out message "Windows Firewall Port Exceptions" I think is only available with the FULL version.

I have followed this tutorial and the program says port 25565 is open, but when using another port check tool I get a port closed message and nobody can connect to my server. I've manually made an exception in my windows firewall but still no luck.

My router is setup.
My firewall is setup.
No connection :sad.gif:

or easy : go to simple port forward and help > serial > 0999-2377-4846-8819-8553

i know how to port foward my router but no one can join my server, even my friends!!
i downloaded the simple port foward thing and i followed your steps and it said it got an error, i tryed to fix it and nothing, moving onto the next step i tried to install the other program but it didn't install... if your woundering my router is a Netgear WNR2000v2

I Tried Other Peoples Tutorials And Nothing, If Your Woundering My Minecraft Version Is 1.0.0 (The New One None Beta) I Even Try The Hamichi Way And Nothing...
