I would like one ASAP as I have lost everything, so it will be hard enough restarting my server and getting the community back up and running, so the shortest amount of down time the better.
I had a 24 slot server which we alternated from FTB and Vanilla.
I would need it in the UK or around the UK.
Reviews or recommendation would be highly appreciated as I don't want to get stung again!
Heck I'd even go for a VPS if it means I can at least get a back up if the company fell flat on it's backside like shard did!

Sorry to hear of your issues. I am actually very surprised about ShardGaming's issues. For 24 slots on FTB would easily jump to 5 GB ($50). For 24 slots on vanilla, you could use 2 GB ($20).
We have a location in Hampshire UK for you. Servers are VPS's on SSD disks. You get a choice of control panel too including multicraft.
Unfortunately we don't have any servers in Europe for our Minecraft server, but we do have very low-priced VPS/cloud servers in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The connectivity over there is 10Gbps (just like our USA locations) and the pricing for that is only $5.00/GB. This monthly only, we're offering one-time services (which for legal purposes we have defined what that means here: http://client.raniu.com/index.php/tos) for only $25.00/GB.
Each server includes Windows Server 2008 R2 so you may better manage your server via remote desktop (with a graphic interface just like you would on a regular home PC), but if linux is a necessity we can always install most linux distros for you.

Same here. We can FTP all the data over a 100 mbit or 1 gbit connection easily assuming the servers are not overloaded.
