This is coming from a host to someone trying to start a hosting company, I am not trying to convince you to buy from me...
You're best off with SoYouStart, it's based on OVH which is about as good as it gets for a new hosting company.
I'd recommend the E3-SSD-3 plan, it has 32GB of RAM with a strong E3, SSDs, and good DDoS protection, you'll pretty much need the additional IPs though. This is only $70/mo if you spread the setup fees, which is a great deal especially for a new host. I'm sure others might recommend different packages, we don't rent from SoYouStart but I have friends recommending this package. Compared to hosts offering Opterons and all-HDD packages it seems like a no-brainer
I would choose SoYouStart over a reseller, the only downside is they aren't going to offer much support outside major hardware issues...
