I know, but there are just too many posts here. It is just frustrating for the legit hosts. All I was saying was for the MCF staff to take 5 mins to look at their post and website, and check to make sure they are a decent host. Since there are around 3-6 new posts daily, it should be 30 min max. I think with the submit form, it will discourage people who are just casually posting.

Still, I don't think they make SSD drives over 512 GB. Anyways, No one will probably use that space, but they can't possibly have truly unlimited storage without spending a few hundred thousand dollars on special equipment.
Samsung revealed their new 1tb SSDs not long ago, you might want to check that out.
A nice website has nothing to do with being a good, reliable, and dependable host. It takes a few hours at most to make a "good" website.
To be honest, I think a host from the "Other Host" section that has been around for under two months has no credibility (or very little) or experience to make a post like this telling other hosts what they should or shouldn't do. While you raise good points, this might as well be taken as a grain of salt.

Real legit hosts should have their company registered with the federal government so that they can be included in the section of "Minecraft Server Hosting".

1)A nice website shows that the host isn't some kid looking to make money - of course you can't tell of a host is the best from looking at its website, but you can get a general feel on the quality.
2)I have been operating for more than 2 months

I have my company registered, but am I under the MCF Hosts section? Nope! And anyone in the US can get an LLC for less than $200, even a 7 year old.

Heck anyone in Canada can get registered in sole proprietorship for $60.
You need to have proof that you're a thriving company with positive testimonials and satisfied clients.
And have experience.

What I was saying is that MCF staff would just look at the website and service level of the company in question, them they would either approve or disapprove. If they approve, the host will be allowed to post in the Other Hosts section.

I agree, aswell has does MCF actually look how good the host is not the Amount of View or post the Host gets but the actuall host.
do they actually use a test server and see how the host is? or even question them.
my opinion we need a better Hosting section approval system.

Use of that section is at your own risk, we most likely will never force applications because that just creates even more work on our part, and implies that we have vetted the host, which we haven't.
We barely have enough staff to keep up with everything else in the Servers section as it is. Other hosts has a pretty clear warning up there, use at your own risk. I don't understand why people think we check out hosts before they are allowed to post. If you want a reputable host who has shown that they have met some basic requirements then use the section that isn't 'Other Hosts.' These hosts aren't "approved" by MCF, but they have meet some basic requirements and have been allowed to post in that section. For more info, see this post.
Very nice! I looked at this and was shocked that I pretty much have followed every tip before I even saw the list! Working on getting an LLC, I know that I really need one, but aside from that, I'm pretty close to all your tips to a "legit" host
By the way, Entel, I get a 502 error when trying to visit your website
@Entel, I agree with your statement of increasing the difficulty of becoming a verified hosting company.
(By the way, over 50% of MCF are kids. On the other hand, it's almost impossiblethat anyone could write something with no grammeral (<-- common mistake many unprofessional hosts make, as it should be "grammatical") mistakesmistakes.)
Besides, Minecraft isn't very profitable (at least until Jebb finally decides to optimize the MC server code, so it takes less resources) compared to VPS servers, dedicated servers, and shared hosting.
-- P.S: Has anyone noticed that alot of unprofessional hosts use RackHost (or any other stolen ThemeForest template)?

I think we should just get rid of the "other hosts" section as a whole. Too many scams and kiddie hosts.

Did you really have to say that? I found out some companies were making 2TB SSD's.
