Is it possible to clone a server's file system on the operator's PC, so running a .exe program on your computer can let you drag and drop files in and act like a control panel? Going into the web seems a little bit of a hassle. It just seems faster and provides the feel of running on your computer, yet without all the major lag.

Filezilla is the most commonly used one, and if you use linux it can be done in the same file system. Best of luck
