Hey there fellows, my name is Eddie, and I'm thinking of starting a online business in the future. Now I know what you are already think for all you hosts out there that have gotten tired of explaining to kids about how this is a bad idea, and the market is already full, but please, just hear me out.
I already know that this is immature and unprofessional to be posting in the Forums like this, but think about it - Would it really help to take this to companies that are growing or developing? One by one, and some might not even bother answering.
You have already read the title I hope and know the general ideas and points that I am trying to get to. I basically have absolutely no knowledge of anything hosting related, and would like to know as much as I can through this post. I am just asking this one time for all you growing hosts out there to fill me in on whats been happening currently, and a bit about the past on hosting.
You may also go in depth about lawsuit risks, licenses, terms and conditions, and all that. This is also a main point I would like to know about: Is there anything I need to sign, like a contract? Any mandatory things for a company? Any highly recommended sources?
I also want to know about experience. This would be pointed at coding or programming knowledge, sales marketing, web development, and much more.
I also want to know a specific age for starting off any kind of business in the United States, particularly in Florida. I do not want any trouble here, so if you have something bad to say about this post, I ask that you either PM it to me personally, or don't say it at all.
Another valuable point I need is an estimate budget for starting off a business. These expenses will include just about everything, inside and out of the company. Everything.
Finally, I would like some reliable sources such as websites to count on for reference about this matter.
If you have any more comments, please PM me your skype and I will explain my points and what I want to know about through that.
Thank you so much for reading and have a nice day,
Good luck man - I think if you want to take a stab at it, make sure you create a good business plan, make sure you figure out all the costs, and project it out - think big picture, don't get caught up in the now. There is a LOT of competition out there, but it doesn't mean you can't make it. Focus on staying small, don't think you're bigger than you are, and try to think about what you can offer that others aren't. To quote Rob Schneider in every Adam Sandler movie - You can dooo eeet!
I was expecting the worst - and found an awesome response. Thanks for that. Helped me through some stuff I've been working through myself - so thanks for that!
Thank you both for the nice reply, I want to know more about all of this, so I have PM'ed FullEffectHosting my Skype.
I am still open to other opinions and information.
Thanks,
Edward
Well I know a few things, Customer Service is key. You can't have these people with grammar and such controlling your live chat, If you hire someone make sure they know everything about the company and almost everything the prices, the system SPECS ect. Its important to have mature Support Agents. Age friendly to everyone, There are 10 years olds out there trying to get servers. They have the money, Anyways what I am saying is Customer Service is Key it gives you a good reputation, If you have swearing Support Agents your going to get Negative Reviews.
