I would like to see a new biome and better terrain generation (similar to that one before beta 1.8). Maybe decrafting table could be good (ex. you craft too many ladders so you put it to decrafting table and get back 7 sticks. Doesn't work on items with durability)
Also, the biomes are getting a bit bland. Mojang should look into the Biomes O Plenty mod, or the ExtraBiomesXL mod. They already seem to be taking such things from mods.
All i want is for tame-able mobs to have the same texturing feature that the horses use (color and markings) so that dogs have more variations and stuff.. they have only 1 texture.. 1?!?! Poor wolfies need an upgrade..
I think that there are A LOT of things that they should add. But some of the few are more ores, new biome, aquatic mobs, new command block commands, etc.
and the ability to have server commands in minecraft when playing offline
Umm.. why would this be neccessary? the only other commands in console are for like kicking/banning people and stuff and there is no point in that if no-one else is on..
To be honest that would seem boring.. or even cheating.. a device that mines for you? no thanx..
Many think mob farms are cheating, but that aside, I think having certain tools or blocks meant to automate the act of mining could be truly beneficial to the overall gaming experience.
For example, it might be interesting to see a new stationary “drill block” be creatable whereby the drill “bit” itself would be something you load into this drill block's inventory. It would allow you to drill up to 3 blocks away, so “extensions” could also be created / loaded into the block’s inventory to increase the length up to 3 blocks per-each extension (similar to a despenser's inventory / ammo). Each extension loaded into the drill block totals up to what would be the entire longevity / life of the drill, so if you load up 10 extensions, your drill could dig for approximately 20 minutes or something like that. You’d want to cap the length somewhere so that people can’t just keep drilling and drilling to infinity, so maybe 3 or 400 blocks would be an appropriate max? Each time the drill is used it would remove / dig only 1 block at a time, so walkways would require a minimum of 2 drills: 1 on top of the other to create minimum-sized walkways. The speed of the drill would be defined by whatever the bit is created with (i.e. – you could have wood, stone, iron, and diamond-tipped bits, etc.) Using this with redstone circuitry, you could create some pretty highly-complex, automated mine shafts that would basically equate to factory-like structures. If one were so inclined, this could be extended to trees whereby logging factories would also be possible… Many possibilities exist with an idea like this.
So how on earth would this be a bad thing or a boring thing!? How could ANYONE shoot something like this down when people already create humongous and hideous-looking mob farm structures meant to automate mob drops? For the life of me, I don’t see the justification...

You already can do this through the console commands.. giving you are the owner and have access.. otherwise you must rely on the owner..

1.) I'd love to see shields be implemented...
2.) Ubiquitious server worlds whose connections can be established in-game using special portal blocks without needing IP addresses or domain names... Destinations keys could be found in hidden scrolls in dungeons... Find a scroll, find a new server to connect to. Don't like the people from that server? That's okay because the gates would require that both servers allow the connection. So what this would mean is that 1 created gate would be dormant until the other servers' players find a corresponding scroll that provides them the means to establish the connection. These gates could then be destroyed at-will by whoever, making the gate optional but whenever the gate is created, the "special blocks" would allow the creator to decide which scroll to use, etc. and would only allow game worlds to connect if each server's game type is the same.
3.) Vehicles (air ships, boats, horse caravans or dog sleds, etc.), hang gliders (especially hang gliders)...
4.) A new and improved battle mode? For example, having something like this might make the addition of using shields possible... Once battle mode is activated (by pressing some key or whatever), your player shifts into a battle stance (similar to how Skyrim does it). I would think that adding something like this would open up possibilities for skill trees, too, because then you could likely focus on whether or not your player levels up in dual-wielding, shield blocking, etc.
5.) Improved villager AI and potential. There's so much that villagers could be made to do, but yet, their only recent attention has culminated into grunts and yawns... I'd love to see towns / villagers defend themselves, farm or mine, establish trade routes or send expeditionary groups for exploring runs, wage war or battle it out between other towns or monster lairs, etc. Lots of potential there.
6.) Actual magic system? I'd love to shoot some magic missiles at some zombies or raise a wall of fire!
I have more ideas but I don't want to spam this place... ;.)

I think this idea would be AWESOME.
lan networks not servers
and maybe skeleton armor

Maybe Cubic Chunks, if it doesn't lag too much.
I agree but not with Cubic Chunks..... There should also be an optimization update too.
