Restarted my first ever minecraft world in the new snapshots. Had several weeks of bad luck not finding horses just to find a plains biome less than 800 blocks from my base with not one, but TWO donkeys!
Since I got both home I've breed twice and got a donkey both times First has 9 hearts, second has 12. The first baby has a whopping 2226 hearts and the second baby hasn't grown enough to check.
Question:
Do donkeys act like armor is on them if they have chests? Like, if I drop chests on them will they stop breeding?
Breeding Donkeys together always produces Donkeys, Breeding Donkeys with Horses produces Mules. I'm guessing Mules are meant to be a best of both, assuming Donkeys are generally slightly lower in stats to make up for the abilty to carry chest, although I'm not 100% on that as neither of them can wear armour. Currently (in 13w19a) Donkeys can still breed when equipped with chests.
She rode them.
@Op, I'm pretty sure that it doesn't really have twenty six hearts, as twenty six health is what all foals show as having, even if they have less.
Or if your donkey does keep its twenty six hearts, even after you log off, then you have one special Donkey.
