So the 1.4 update came out very recently. In my own personal opinion, it was pretty good. I like it so much, that I have no idea what Mojang could think of next for the 1.5 update. So, this is just a discussion about the 1.5 update, what you think it will be like and what you would like to come out of it. Go ahead, comment below.

Here's what I'm really waiting for in future updates. Hopefully in 1.5

-More Bosses, the wither and enderdragon were pretty cool but maybe a few more would make it more fun!
-Able to change your username
-Extra armor slots like a shield, ring, etc
-Add more armor types (Silver, platinum, and etc)
-Make it possible to craft the same item with 2 different recipes
-Be able to stack more items, like boats and stuff
-Be able to make ore farms, like coal,iron, gold, etc farms
-

Mod API, more of a reason to stay in/explore the Nether other than potion ingredients/Wither Skulls, and improved fishing are my big 3.

Don't get me wrong, I'm just as excited for the API as much as anyone (especially for me because that means I could hopefully play with Aether mod once again), but the mod API has been postponed multiple times. Hoping its going to come out now is foolhardy, its better to believe it'll come out eventually rather than believe it might come out this time.

Yeah, I don't think the API is coming out any time soon. If I recall correctly, they have to rework the lighting and rendering engines before they can continue work on the API.

Ocean biome has to be improved, definitely. I'd love to see crabs, dolphins, whales, sharks, coral reefs, anything to make ocean biome interesting. Stuff like submerged ruins and pirate island hideouts seem exciting too.

mmm... being able tto build onto the boat would be fun

put something at the bottom of the oceans.... like lobsters or plants and sea urchins that can be used in recipes.

I have to agree the ocean biomes could use some more work. A hostile mob perhaps, a few larger boats, but we can't start jumping things, like cannonballs and stuff, it comes in a trickle, not a gush. So yes a hostile mob, maybe another kind of fish you can catch? Naw we dont need more food.
But a two person boat, would be nice (Has two seats, so if u aim for the back u get the back seat, aim for the front, u get the front seat. And only the guy in front can steer, the other can snipe mobs with bows :D)

1. Why don't they just finish the Enderdragon before pumping out MORE half-finished boss mobs?

2. I'd like that.

3. I'll pass. Not much point to it. How much does a ring REALLY cover? And a shield is held in the HAND. Like an item.

4. Silver? Platinum? Why? Would they be harder then diamond somehow? Look different from the already grey-platinum-silver iron armor?

5. We already have this in shapeless recipes. Otherwise, we the NETHER WOULD YOU WANT TWO RECIPES!?!?!?

1. Yah I'd agree but still, more bosses mean more fun. Obviously you can't expect them to accomplish all that in one update.

2. I think being able to change your username is something everyone wants.

3. Well maybe they could have certain effects. Just a idea..

4. Maybe not as good as diamond but have the main point as the look.

There are teasers that they might be making a red dragon boss. And i would love to see more building blocks and more types of villagers

I hope to see more technical improvements. Singleplayer world generation? Better Command Blocks? More spawner options? Maybe some things with MCEdit or NBTEdit? Modding API definitely. I want bug fixed like the steve skin bug. I think it would be cool if they had better superflat customization options. Other things such as changing username and improving villagers/mob API. Also C418 had been working on a new sound engine which would be cool to add into the game. 1.2, 1.3, and 1.4 had more in-game aspects, I think 1.5 should have more technical changes. Mod api: Animals shearable like sheep
Animals milkable like cows
Animals that lay eggs like chickens

I don't think really anything you listed here would happen in-game. Also, Mod-API is unlikely. From what dinnerbone has said:

New Lighting system.
I couldn't guess what else they could add, we will have to see.

I've just been waiting for an update to minecarts, to make them more useful or something. And for boats to have a better movement/control system.
