A few a questions about the newest snapshot, 12w38a that I would like answering to. I can't find the answers anywhere else.
How do I make a pig go faster again? I don't notice any difference while right clicking like the wiki says.
I know the Wither effect turns your health bar black and you lose health, but does it do anything else? Nevermind. Actually, I would like a good source saying exactly what Wither does.
Do mobs actually drop heads yet? Because I tried a lot, and did not see them drop any heads. They do very rarely
How do you get a Human head in survival? Can't yet
Do Wither Skeletons spawn naturally in the Nether yet? Yes they do, just saw one.
Where do you go in Jungles to find Carrots or Potatoes? Because I flew around a newly generated jungle for 5 minutes and did not see any. Wrong.
Thanks.
NEW QUESTION: The wiki also says Zombie and Zombie pigmen models and textures have changed. They look the same to me, what changed? Answered
The zombie and zombie pigman models (which are the same model) were modified to add a villager head and nose for the villager zombies. The textures were enlarged to accommodate this extra model space, but left blank on the regular skins.
I suspect we'll see texture artists doing some cool stuff with this.

I killed over 700 Wither Skeletons with a looting III sword, and not a single one dropped a head. I did notice that even without looting, they drop their swords a lot.
Yes mobs drop heads, i suppose i must have gotten super lucky to have it happen though cause it seems most people haven't run into them.
The mob that dropped its head, in case you were wondering (for me) was the wither skeleton
Well, this makes a bit of sense, because Wither skeleton heads are the only ones that are actually used for anything. But at the same time, Epicness claims that he killed 700 of the bastards and has yet to see a single one drop their head. They were using a sword, what were you using? I used potions of healing to kill most of my zombies.

Out of the 700, 9 of the Wither Skeletons were able to pickup weapons and armor.
Those things look badass with armor and diamond swords.

It was the 2nd one i killed, with nothing but a diamond sword.
However not a single one has dropped it again yet so i'm assuming it truly is extremely rare
I gave up on zombies, and started killing Wither skeletons. (Mojang, PLEASE PLEASE PLEEEASE give Wither skeletons their OWN spawn egg.) And in my second batch of one-hundred Wellies (yes, that's what they're called now), one of them actually dropped its skull! Of course, this is the only mob anyone seems to have had luck with, and like I said, it's the only head that actually does anything.
EDIT: I actually got two Wellington skulls by doing that, so that's an average of 1/100 for me. Whereas, I'm now slaughtering hundreds of zombies and Creepers, only to find no heads. I'll try with normal skeletons now.
Probably, it wouldn't make sense if mundane vegetables grew in the jungle.
Also, I killed another batch of only one-hundred Wellies, and got FOUR MORE skulls. I'm guessing that they are the only enemies that drop skulls right now.
I THINK I know what the Wither effect does. But I'm sorry, I can not find a decent source anywhere on the internet saying what Wither does to you. I know it makes you lose hearts like poison and turn your hearts black, but does it do anything else at all? And what's the difference between Wither 1 and 2?

Unlike poison, the Wither effect can actually kill you, in which case, the killfeed will say that you "withered away". It also heals the Wither for how much damage was inflicted, and this healing will occur whether the Wither has afflicted you or ANY OTHER MOB. So, it's best to fight the Wither in an arena where it's only you and it, with no other mobs around, or it will just keep healing itself.
Withers are the only mobs that drop skulls (but very rarely) and all other skulls can only be obtained thru Creative mode. ;( Technically, the drop rate for Wellington Skulls (I like that nickname!) is supposed to be 1/40 (2.5%) and they spawn only in Nether Fortresses. So if you are in a Nether Fortress and you kill 100 Wellies, you should end up with anywhere between 2 and 3 skulls. Chances are that you are not going to get that kind of luck, but I guess that's how the spawn code was written. Hope this helps!

But how do you get them to wear armor? I tried doing that w/ zombies by "q"ing iron armor onto the ground, but they did not pick anything up!!!
Only a small number of undead are "smart", meaning they can pick stuff up, like armor and weapons. I don't know the exact rate, but I'd geuss one in fifty.

The wiki also says Zombie and Zombie pigmen models and textures have changed. They look the same to me, what changed?AnsweredYeah, that was added in the last snapshot. Can't believe I forget what it does.
And yeah, I've killed 300+ zombies, probably closer to 500, and have yet to see a single zombie head. :/
I mean the wiki says they grow in Jungles. Is the wiki wrong?

I am ninja'd far too often.
