Even though I presume it may already be so, it should be made out of iron. After all, a crafting table is made out of wood, and a furnace is made out of stone.
Likewise, I think an anvil shouldn't be affected by gravity, or turn into an entity, as it has a GUI, and could cause some unexpected results if dropped far below while in use.
I just realized that smite and sharpness aren't compatible, and if they are, then the anvil just refuses to combine them. Also, the anvil won't combine anything with three enchantments with something else. IT WONT EVEN RENAME STUFF WITH THREE OR MORE ENCHANTMENTS
I really hope he can find a way to fix the dupe bug. Whether it be fixing the bug entirely or finding a work-around I'm fine.
Turning it into an entity is not a bad idea, maybe just a minecart-like entity that can't be pushed but has gravity?
I love the idea!!! but i think it would be cool if it could make something like re-enforced tools using an extra piece of material allowing the use of a sleight boost before you could get an enchanting table!
Renaming stuff is waaaaay too expensive. XP might be easier to come by now but it's not that easy. The price for renaming a non tool item should be 1 xp and all tool renaming costs should be halved.

Under no circumstances do I want villagers building ugly little houses in my world. That's my job. Link Removed

Why? I have a ton of XP and nothing to spend it on.
The point of renaming is to offer something for people who have a full set of enchanted... everything. Once you've enchanted all your gear, the only use for XP is renaming.

2 things: Five levels of experience is NOTHING, prior to this snapshot. It's trivial to get. Secondly, you can get XP from breeding now. If anything, experience is even easier than before.
Wait, he might remove the falling feature of the anvils? I sure hope not, and what is this duplication bug? Besides, anvils can't be pushed by pistons anyways.
So they get more cracked with use, but do they eventually disappear? I feel like that may be unnecessary, considering the high prices both for making them and actually using them. If the cracks are just for looks, fantastic!
And by that, I mean the gravity part.

It doesn't really need a front spike, not every anvil has that anyway. Some are just a plain block.
Hmmm... I wonder who predicted that?
Oh, I KNOW!!!

...but that's just like, my opinion, man.
Praise be to Spode.
