OP, there are other threads about this already, and you're nearly 24 hours late.
That's a good effort, since 12w40b was only released about 50 minutes ago.
Also it seems the beacon beam not showing up more than once for multiple beacons bug has been fixed.
Apparently Dinnerbone has also implemented relative position teleporting but I have no idea how it's done.
EDIT: Ok found out how. Put a ~ in front of the coordinates to mark it as relative.
So if you wanted to teleport yourself straight upwards 10 blocks you would put:
/tp @p ~0 ~10 ~0
You can also put negative values in for x and z but it seems to be impossible to teleport yourself downwards (ie., a negative y value). I'm guessing this is because y values must be positive when teleporting normally because negative values are beneath the world. So it's basically an oversight.

You'd think between the title and the fact I listed changes not listed in the changelog of 12w40a, that would be enough, but apparently people can't be bothered to read the title. Or you know, the post. Too much effort in times like these where time is so short, y'know?
Definitely a couple good applications with the new command block feature. It's been awhile since I've had to struggle to remember all the details of a feature.
Fixed the glitchy block popping bug
Fixed beacon rendering
Fixed a crash related to map items in strongholds
I didn't see any beacon rendering issues as of 12w40a, I just saw that they changed the perfectly-fine-the-first-time design again...
WHAT?!
Danger zone.
No need for the sarcasm. He was trying to do something nice.

Well, not everyone uses twitter. A fair few people hate all social networking, so for the 1%, there are threads like these.
