maybe tell them whats be wrong with the game for like how many years now (terrain 2011, the new enchanting system like 2012 or 2013) and then get them to fix those issues and stop adding new things until they fix all the things that are broken

just cause science fails to explain something does not mean its real (afterlife, big foot, ghosts etc..) does not mean its fake try to stay opened mined instead of closed
Get more non-lazy people to work at Mojang and get rid of Microsoft! That would fix it.
Or get Notch to come back. Minecraft was the best when he worked on it. He added all of my favorite things in Minecraft like Creepers and the Nether! Zombie Pigmen are pretty cool too.
To be honest, if we just wait it out for these updates, we'll have better quality. Just forcing Mojang to do new updates every few weeks will make the updates half-baked pieces of crap.
Newly Spawned: Baby. Out of the Water: Deep-Sea Diver. Tree Puncher: First Fight. Carpenter: Under The Carpet. StoneMiner:Newb. Coal Miner: Just Add Methane. Zombie Killer: Village Protector. Iron Miner: Burnt Hands.BudderGold Miner:Sky Army Stuck At Home: It's a nightmare Redstone Miner:Electrician.Diamond Miner: I'm rich! Lapis Lazuli Collector: Enchanting Time!
I think some people might be underestimating the difficulty and complexity of coding a game like Minecraft. Try reading through the details on the smaller updates and reviewing the staggering amount of bugfixes they work their way through each time.

In my opinion, updates should go out at least 2 times a year. And i have 2 reasons: 1: Its better that they add cooler stuff at a not so regular basis then add stupid useless stuff every day. And for number 2: If they did add cool stuff every day, i mean srsl. You would have to update every day, and servers would be SO outdated(servers need a few weeks to update). Also, you probably didn't even have time to play with new features and even more stuff comes. And before you realise it, you are living in a pile of stuff you have NO idea about what it dose.Unless, you of course research minecraft wiki all day(yeah right). Sooooo, i think they should stay at the same rate of updating. Also, for all of you who think mojang is lazy: Oh yeah? you think that they are super lazy? well, in that case, why don;t you try to code minecraft? how hard can it be? you are describing it like it would take about 10mins to make an update. so give it a try? don't think its that easy now, don't you? Thats what i thought.

Well.. as a bukkit plugin coder and novice forge modder... It's not really hard to code a feature for Minecraft (It may be hard at first, but once you practice a little bit it can be much easier and fun).
You could easily code in a new block in less than 10 minutes using forge...
While It's easy to code it, it's not that easy getting ideas to implement, you can't simply go and rush something that has nothing to do with the game... eg: "1.9 - The Randomness Update -> Adds a new block, Televisions, which can be triggered with redstone! It also includes a new mob, politicians which will try to charge you diamonds every time you place or break a block (for the sake of protecting the enviroment of course)! And last but not least it adds marshmallows which are dropped by Slimes!"
Because then people would complain about those features as much as some people complain because of the lack of updates, and even though they are free, you should keep in mind a lot of people buy the game in the first place because they know the game will get updated every an indeterminate number of months.
Despite being hard to get cool ideas to implement to the game, you could easily roll out an update every a couple months or so, or as someone in this thread pointed out, you could make 'small updates' which contained little features every month (as an example), and 'big updates' which contained big game-changing features, let's say... around 4 months.
I think it would be nice to have such a little margin between updates, I don't think servers would have too much trouble updating, and If you stopped playing minecraft for say... 6 months and then came back you would find yourself with a lot of new features and stuff to play with, which could bring back the excitement of discovering new features you don't know how to use and having to go to check the Minecraft Wiki again (which is something I kinda miss).

ugh if they had some coders who could actual work well you know how much faster and better the updates would be.

well for starters we need a clear way to talk to the devs and a clear way for them to answer back to us, right now the bug section is flawed and pointless we need a real bug tracker and maybe even hire a group of maybe 3 or four people to find major bugs and minor bugs and report right to the devs with no third party group or third party thing (like the forums)
next minecraft is not like most games it heavily relies on its users to help the game grow (mods map making pvp etc..) so we need a away to sort out features that would benefit all and a faster way of doing it, the suggestion threads are pointless for the fact 99.9% of those features will never be added and the ones that do get added are around for years before hand and are beaten to death, so we need a fast way of getting a good sum of votes in a short amount of time that shows one feature they need to fix or add,
then we need a simple system for them to work on, i think three months for a small update is fair, every update should take 3 months or less and focus on one thing only, then there should be 2 to 3 months of pure bug fixing this way we have a balance of getting a few features and getting some bugs fixed in a small amount of time which would fix many complaints with bugs and updates going to long with too little features
and finally they need to work with mod makers so far they only worked with dr zed (not sure who he was) but to add his horses into the game i think any big mod which many people like instead of mojang trying to add it in there own way and messing it up work with these mod makers and get the real version (give credit to the mod maker)
this is just my thoughts but i do think mojang is doing many things wrong and us as a community need to state them and help them get fixed even if that comes off as pure hated to them...

well you know, they have a life too and they weren't born to simply work, pay off bills and then die.
They have their own things to do, a life they would like to attend and have fun in, they weren't created to serve you and your desire of updates, you should actually thank them for having created the game in the first place for your enjoyment and it's not easy to program a game, they started off being an indie industry and only recently have they become a AAA industry, they still don't have many coders and they work their butt of whenever they have time for us.

I think that they should support mods. That way the entire community will be happy. Also, mojang will be inspired by people that added things, since they are people that they want to make happy by making the game, so they would get direct info on what the community wants. Also, they could maybe make an official mod maker/loader for the community, and also add popular mods to vanilla. This would be great, and i think that it would make minecraft WAY better.
