Reason being: I cannot get a credit card, because as a new person with no credit history, every damn credit card application I have put in to date has been denied. I cannot use a pre-paid credit card either.
Why would you need a credit card? I could have one but I choose not to, you can get a Visa debit card that works exactly the same as a credit card, the retailer cannot tell the difference, I've not once had a problem with my visa debit.
I lack a bank account to get a debit card from. Plus, I don't really trust banks since they're also out to make money off you.
Do you not understand how a bank works?
They don't make money off of people storing money with them; they make money off of people who take out loans from them. If you put money into a bank, you're more of an investor than a customer; they pay YOU for letting them hold onto your money, so that they can invest it through loans.

Yeah, ok. Tell me why I lost money due to fees and other various bullcrap.
Because you didn't follow the rules? Because you didn't pay attention to the terms of your agreement? Or you just have a really crappy bank.
I've been with the same bank since 2004 and I have yet to ever pay a fee.

Considering banks are one of the safest ways to save money, I'd say you're being pretty paranoid.
. . . and if you're paying lots of fees, it's usually because you're doing something the bank doesn't like, like overdrawing your account or using ATMs from other banks. Pay closer attention to what you can and can't do, and you'll have less fees.

When all is said and done, Will you have said more than you have done?
I am a huge fan of gamming, although some may argue the point that it kills the ability to learn. But there is more to it than meets the eye. WoW is one of the most addicting online games on the internet to date where creativity and decision making are essential for survival. It had its share of fun and enjoyable moments. It’s nice to hear that Minecraft is now with Curse because one day ,by some odd coincidence, I was reading up about WoW on Curse when I saw a post about Minecraft appear on recent news saying something about the acquisitions of two new fan sites. The very next day I bought Alpha. I believe this took place somewhere in mid November, but the point I’m trying to make is that Minecraft not only implies the essence of creativity and decision making but requires the player to take it a step further. Minecraft is a world of its own, more so a universe, and its infinite supply of surprises is what makes this game the best thrill ride on the planet.

I understand that when someone buys a site (lets be honest, that's what happened here) it takes a few weeks to get everything running smoothly again. It's been over a month and this forum is falling into the s**tter. You curse people better get your act together soon or else everyone will migrate to another forum and your "investment" will be a dud.
P.S. I'm not saying this to criticize Curse, im just saying it in hope something get's done about the amount of spam, gross images, etc.
Not to happy about curse and their "premium" features, enjoy paying for bandwidth to download mods, unless you like waiting a few minutes while ads play on your screen.
I also remember their site being hacked and thousands of WoW accounts being compromised, this doesn't make me a happy minecrafter.
Mmm... I love how there's always such a mixed reaction when this happens. Basically the same response we got when we switched DiabloFans to the Curse network (back when I was still an Admin there, that is). Honestly, based on what I know, the change affects very little in terms of how a site is run and from what I've seen so far here, things don't really need to change (IMHO).
Today we'd like to announce that the minecraft forums and wiki are now part of the Curse group of fansites.
If you have any questions or concerns we urge you to use this topic to voice them. We'd love to answer any questions you may have.

Are we going to see the future developed skins/textures/mods available via the curse downloader? Also, those of us who are curseforge developers... can we find out first so we can push our packs live for a successful launch of said addition to the curse downloader?

See, now that would make me excited about the move. I would love to be able to browse for/automatically update texture packs through the curse client.

Curse is a gaming network designed to bring gamers and the games they love together in a whole new way. Curse is one of the largest gaming networks in the world,
and we're extremely excited to now be a part of that.
Being part of the curse network will now give us more room to grow the sites, and not be limited by hardware or funding restrictions. We'll also be able to provide giveaways and promotions for the community!
It's important to note that not much is going to change. The amazing team of moderators that keep this place sane will continue to be in the same roles that they are now.
Over the next few weeks we will be migrating to some brand new servers, that will more than handle our capacity and provide us for some room to grow!
If you have any questions or concerns we urge you to use this topic to voice them. We'd love to answer any questions you may have.

BTW did notch add random forest fires or am i being haunted by herobrine?
So far Im not impressed with Curse...at all...Ive never been a part of any of their sites and havent even really heard about them aside that theyre suppsed to be 'the best'
Since theyve taken over theyve done NOTHING that Ive seen.
Shouldnt they be the ones moving us to IPB? and if they are, WHY is it taking so long? I read a post the other day that a mod/admin posted on 4/6 saying ET for IPB was 1 week(4/13), it is now the 23rd and still nothing...not even an estimated answer when this will happen.
Search keeps getting disabled for abuse.
I havent seen ANY curse representatives or staff register and say ANYTHING about what theyre planning, all I see is a bunch of speculation and a bunch of stuff people say WILL happen that hasnt happened yet.
Premium accounts...naw
and Im sure theres a few others...I dont know what Curse is capable of or what they offer...but theyre definitely not putting a very good first impression on me...all I see is a bunch of promises and a big broken forum...and thats all Ive seen.
Can someone tell me what Curse is actually supposed to be liable for now that we're a part of them?
Why did I have to register an account THERE to get to my already registered account here?
Their registration process is a pain in the ass and I had to retry like 6 times before the POS would register me and most of the time it didnt even say what the problem was
Plus, Curse is notorious for the spread of trojans through their WoW mod manager. Why would you want to be connected with them?

Personally, I hate Curse.
