Never applied, I just randomly received a PM from Spite where he asked me if I wanted to become a secmod in Game Modes. Opeth had apparently been stalking my posts or something, and the rest, as they say, is history.
They regret it to this day!

Lets see, I got talked into applying by Sacheverell, because he liked my feedback and talking to me about problems with/on the site. Basically, it was unanimous when I was hired a couple months later.
I was very active in the community, happy to help wherever I could, reported problems, and followed and showed understanding of the rules. A bit later, an administration position opened up, and they offered it to me.
Not much really to tell. Really glad Sacheverell talked me into it and glad to be able to help as much as I can.

About a year ago, I was really active in the off-topic section. My post count is an artifact of those times. I was only ever warned once (Well over a year ago) and followed the rules from there on. I helped as much as I could in forum discussion, and eventually they opened the moderator applications. WIth nothing to lose, I applied, and got accepted some time later.
I hear opinions were varied because of my history as a rather fickle and hyperactive poster, but I think it worked out pretty well in the end :p

I applied back in July. In August, Blue contacted me, asking if I'd still like to be mod. And to anyone looking to be a mod and you have a low post down, remember that it's all about quality over quantity! I only had a few posts and I was still considered!
I noticed how the "Videos" section of the forums was in-active of staff when I was usually browsing (time-zone related), so I decided I might as well apply. I applied one day, got help from DanielleStarr on tips to be a "mini-moderator" and a week later managed to get asked whether I would like to be a part of the team or not.

I applied back in May and I was contacted by the wonderful SpitefulFox around October (Better late than never!) and asked if I would like to pitch in with the SYC team ^^ At the time I actually had no posts at all in SYC, and I still suprise people now and then when I finally decide to post. Admittively, I tend to focus on doing moderation and I only rarely post these days ^^
I'd like to personally thank all of the SYC-team for being awesome <3 Specially DanielleStarr, who helped me tonnes towards becoming a good moderator here and avoid some of those newbie-mistakes.
I will look noob but...

Just like to say thank you to all Admin/Mod's that help this community. I'm sure all you guys have real life's and jobs, so thanks for going the extra mile to help out.
