I noticed another game having forums on the same server as their main site; eventually enough code was produced from the forums that they found a different way to stop such site shutdowns, overloads, etc. Move the forums to another sever. After they did that, no more problems caused from the forums to main site or other things it is hooked up to.

minecraftforum is hosted by curse, not minecraft.net. the more i watch the forum break and fail and be ignored, the more irritated at curse I get.

I think you should permanently replace "View your posts" with "View your subscriptions." I've posted one-off replies in threads I have no intention of following ever again, and yet new posts in those threads keep cluttering my view. Easier front-page access to subscribed threads would be awesome.
Yes, it's very common for people to use the "View your posts" function to look at recent activity in the threads they've been discussing things in. However, I am confused about the statement, "due to abuse by members the search function has been disabled." How can one "abuse" such a basic function to a forum (as large as this one)?
because phpbb was designed by toddlers who slobbered on the keyboard and produced this. We're moving away very soon, but for now we just have to deal with it :sad.gif:

Because that's so helpful, you could've at least answered my question and told me they were in the user control panel, and that the makers of this forum had decided to hide away one of the most useful tools.
Does this mean being allowed to post stupid questions and repetitious threads is temporarily enabled?
*Edit: If you want to view the threads you've posted in try checking your browser history. This is as simple as typing Ctrl+H. If that doesn't work for you please don't feel the need to complain; there are still other options, such as waiting, google, and sepukku.

Also, thanks for the info regarding the search bar. It was getting slightly annoying. Its still slightly annoying, but it helps to know whats going on.

where number is the forum number and search|terms|separated|by|bars is what youre searching for. use '|' to separate terms (it means OR)
