So, does that mean search is still temporarily disabled even though it was taken off the topic lists in my User Control Panel?

Since it seems unlikely that the forum search will be re-enabled, perhaps some tips could be put together for using google search better? Google works fine and dandy for finding assorted threads that are relevant to the subject you are looking for, but it sucks at finding specific posts/threads by specific users.

Basically what I want to know is if there's any method currently available for simulating Egosearch. Failing that, could we change the thread icons so that threads that a person has already posted in stand out a little better?

I post in a lot of threads, and I liked being able to follow up to any responses people might have made. That's become prohibitive now. Even if I started bookmarking every suggestion I post in, it still wouldn't do me any good for the massive number of threads I've already posted in.

Thanks, that actually seems to be doing the trick perfectly. You might want to have the egosearch page link to that specifically.

We can use search but its not being a global announcement or something.
