I Donated $10 :smile.gif:
But i hope to god i did it right. Ive screwed up before with paypal an lost money.
I get really nerves about things going wrong... :sad.gif:
Only one way to find out if it worked :3
I frankly don't think it's fair that if people donate, they have less of a chance of being banned.
Of Course they have helped the forums greatly, but if they do it for an incentive, it isn't donating any more, it is purchasing.
Metaphorically speaking, it's like buying a get out of Jail Free Card.
Of Course my view may be biased, because I of course have not donated to, but when I do (Hopefully in the near future) get permission to donate, I will :biggrin.gif:

True, however, working in the IT field, any downtime is bad downtime.
Thanks to everyone who donated over night, I'm processing these now! If you don't have your rank in 1 hour send me a PM, I probably missed you.
Edit: done! If you're still without your gold name, post here.

We wanted $600. Ban me if im wrong (don't really), but i suspect we are nearing $10,000 (seriously dont ban me)
I'm busy working on some pretty statistics for you guys, like how much total donated, the max and min, the best days and times for donations and exactly what we've used the donations for. I'll put it up on our blog later today.

While priority will be given to donators when we need users to test new features, we will never treat donators differently when it comes to the rules, they will be punished just as a non-donator would be if they break the rules.

As I expected from the great management of this community!
Donators should have those kind of priorities, and you are perfectly right in that, I just felt like I needed to put my 2 cents in, just incase.
That satisfied me.

Yup. I knew that from the start that I still had an equal chance of being banned for wrongdoing, but to lessen my chances of being banned wasn't why I donated, I donated because I felt obligated to.
Not sure how much I'm allowed to say, but we're talking to Mojang about a few different things but as of now, no Notch (nor mojang) have donated to the wiki or forum.
Good news, can't wait to see those statistics hope its gone well :smile.gif:
Hoping to see http://minecraftservers.com/ up soon :smile.gif: Since i can't host from home because of a firewall i'm going to be using that service for my server :smile.gif:
We originally needed $600, but we received much much more. Any donations made now are incredibly helpful allowing us to expand, but we're no longer in a position where you guys NEED to donate to keep us alive :smile.gif:
I'm putting together the blog post with stats now!
Can I take his posh rank? :happy.gif: (Who needs a cool rank and gold name when you have an avatar like that?)
Seriously, though. Next time I go out, I'm grabbing a pre-paid card and donating. ...Then I'll spend the rest of my dough on something juvenile. Like a VG Cats t-shirt or something.

Or just save it.
