Bug report: Open doors don't allow character to pass through
Version of Minecraft: 1.8.1
SSP or SMP: SMP
Your Computer Specs and Operating System: Win XP + SP 3, Celeron 2.66 GHz, 2 GB RAM, Sapphire X1550 video card (256 MB)
Can you repeat this bug: repeats often
What issues does the bug Cause: Character cannot pass through open doors and gets bumped back on attempting to do so.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: Works for wooden doors, whether single, half of a double or both sides of a double. Don't know if it works for metal doors. An open door is impassable in this condition. Reproduced using multiple doors in different locations (all on the same map) with different characters.
Might possibly be a version of the bug where breaking down a door results in a half door, i.e. perhaps the server is treating the door as a half door that is closed even though the animation shows an open full-sized door?
Occurred on a whitelisted SMP server with TNT & Creeper damage to blocks disabled, but otherwise vanilla.
Solution: May be temporarily resolved by closing the door and reopening it, or breaking it down and putting it up again. However, the problem will recur eventually, sometimes even on the next opening.
Can't really say if this is a bug, but I don't know where else to put it.
Minecraft Version: 1.8
SSP or SMP: Not in the game yet
Your computer specs and Operating System: AMD Phenom II Quad Core, 4GB DDR3 RAM, ATI Radeon HD 5770 video card with 1GB GDDR5, Windows 7 64bit
Can you repeat this bug: Yes
What issues does this bug(?) cause:
Can't login since 1.8, checked to make sure my login information is all correct, and I can login on minecraft.net, but I can't login on the client. It just says "Login failed."
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: Every time I try to login.
Edit: Seems it was a problem with the pre 1.8 client, it allowed me to log in once I redownloaded the client from Minecraft.net.
Put coal in furnace. Put any product you want to make in furnace.
when last item is made POOF. all coal and finished product are gone.
more than 1/2 the time.
Your Computer Specs and Operating System: Mac OSX version 10.5.8
Can you repeat this bug: Yes, every single time.
What issues does the bug Cause: Doesn't allow me to play the game.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: Every time I open minecraft I reach both the menu screen and the loading screen for single player but once the loading screen finishes the screen either turns to black and flashes a message which is virtually impossible to screencap or stays frozen on a bit more faded version of the "saving chunks" screen and flashes the same message. All previous versions have worked fine on my computer.
I have the EXACT SAME BUG!!!
I also have a little more info. It does a similar thing on SMP as well. I also had the yogbox installed, but to update I moved everything in my MC folder to a new one and launched MC, so it created all new files.
Your Computer Specs and Operating System: Windows 7 Home Pro 64bit, Intel i5-2500k 3.3GHz, 8GB Ram, NVIDIA GeForce GT 545 1.5GB card (I think this is all correct, but I may be wrong)
Can you repeat this bug: Not intentionally
What issues does the bug Cause:
1. Also getting the "invisible blocks" bug where you can see through to the natural caverns and lava/water below except I also got this -before- 1.8, in 1.7.3 (or whatever the most recent was before) It happened more often before. When I try to use the keyboard shortcut to get a SS, it doesn't work with the game active. F2 key crashes the game with the out of memory error. There are already pictures posted of what it looks like, but I have SS from 1.7.x and it looks the exact same.
2. The blocks breaking but still being visible bug
3. Constant out of memory crashes, sometimes I can play 10-15 minutes, others 2 minutes. In one crash, I was using a crafting bench, and when I logged back in immediately I lost several items from my inventory. Others I logged back in and blocks I broke etc were still on the ground waiting for me.
4. Minor lighting abnormalities, there are black spots where it looks sort of like the chunk error but if you do something near them, the lighting fixes itsself. Seems to happen randomly, but consistently. Like if you restart the game, they are in the same spots.
5. Just now I'm getting serious lag after coming out of a natural cave system to the surface, this is the first time it has happened. My inventory wouldn't load correctly at first. Very odd.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: Just general playing, the memory errors are most frustrating because it makes it very difficult to play. Sometimes it happens while doing nothing, or mining, or getting jumped by skeletons lol. There is no pattern I can see.
And just a few notes:
I spawned in a forest area with loads of wolves, and I've seen them since in forests.
And did we not have the weird gravity issues before sometimes? 404 Seed for example, the gravel pit was supported in space until you hit it.
EDIT: 6. This is the 2nd time only this has happened, but my game is totally crashing with no error, no message, no pop up it just shuts down suddenly.
And I don't know anything but game development, but I have noticed that most of these issues, the memory and chunk errors only occured on my computer. Not my laptop or other computers of people I know that play...and the difference is my desktop is alot more powerful, and I have alot more RAM. If anyone knows, maybe there is a way to alot more memory or cap the amount the game uses...if thats even the problem.
uhhh....my mods aren't working in my game. when i do spc(single player commands) it says "switching level" and then the game crashes, and TMI just wont work!
Your Computer Specs and Operating System:Vista Home Premium 32bit, Core2Duo 2.2ghz, 4G ram, Nvidia9800GT
Can you repeat this bug:(sort of) If I explore around any dense forest, it will happen.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable:
The one time this DIDN'T happen was when I had a world that was mostly ocean and I spent most of my time underground.
Every time the error does happen is when I am above ground and exploring around a densely forested area. I noticed while flying, that some chunks weren't generating properly. all the blocks in them we're invisible. I could walk on them and destroy them though.
An out of memory crash would follow soon after.
My theory is that it may have something to do with the new terrain generation code.

I have a 5 x 6 house (Very Small), inside I have 4 torches, a bed, Crafting bench, double chest, and a fernice. Also have doors closed. When it is night time, I go into the bed but I whenever I wake up there is ALWAYS a zombie or skeleton in my house. I don't know how when I have doors and have 4 torches in such a small place. Will post a video soon.
been a problem since 1.3 when beds were introduced. just light it up as good as you can.
notes: it may just be a issue with the neather i was building a quick travel rail way. i have not tried in the over-world.
--------------------------------
Bug: sometimes not able to turn on flying
Mode: CSP
solution: quitting to main menu and reloading the map.
notes: i had a similar issue with placing blocks in 1.7.3

notes about my system:
Laptop, Intel core 2 duo 2.2 Ghz, 4Gb ram, windows 7 x64, decent(for a laptop) graphics(like that really matters for minecraft)
notes about my version of minecraft:
1.8.1, no mods right now(i am waiting till at least Saturday for more bug fixes to come out), using default TP(paintily and steampunk have not updated yet)

"in the event of a root uprising i would support the robots, does that make me a bad person?"
When someone with alot of experience dies, they drop all experience orbs, making it lag quite a bit because of having so many items on the floor. It's not really a bug, but endless experience + dropping all experience on death is not right. Basic programming design failure. :tongue.gif: I'm kidding, but yeah.
Version of Minecraft: 1.8.1
SSP or SMP: SMP
Can you repeat this bug: yes, by the person with loads of experience dieing (or whoever picked it up)
What issues does the bug Cause: Loads of server lag, client lags basically too much memory being used for this much experience. The person with so much experience has more lag than other people as well.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: only appear as of version 1.8, and of course it depends per server/ computer how much lag there is.
"SOLUTION": having everyone in the server move to said location to share and help with picking up all that experience so much faster. (derp) Not a real solution though.
Please do something about this. Like not losing Experience.

i agree for smp experience should be stored as part of you profile (name, skin, etc.) and for ssp it should be saved as part of map data. i am not sure weather or not experience should transfer between servers or maps. i really have no opinion on SMP i enjoy building huge complex things using mods (and now creative mode).
