My original issue of the screen starting to shake (even at 45fps) and the sound starting to get garbled just before a BSOD and system shutdown is still there... just takes a little longer to get there now. The world still becomes unloadable after the crash though. If you purposefully save and quit, closing the game completely, and restart you are fine.

Also interesting to note is that it does it no matter what graphics settings, render distance, lighting, or FPS settings you use. I always do a force update before I test so I know this is using clean minecraft files. Showing the F3 info during play doesn;t show any interesting information except fairly regular and short spikes in load. They turn to a wall of white to the top of the screen just before the crash.

Your Computer Specs and Operating System: Windows 7 64 bit Can you repeat this bug: yes
What issues does the bug Cause: When trying to attack pigs/chickens in tall grass the weapon will not hit, the only way to get around this is to destroy all the grass around them, combined with a plains biome and the fact that they run away after being hit, gets rather annoying.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: tall grass with 1 block high creature
Your Computer Specs and Operating System: No idea (it gets upgraded a lot so I forget :/ )... Windows 7
Can you repeat this bug: yes (tried it three times before posting)
What issues does the bug Cause: place a furnace, destroy the furnace, place a chest in it's place. The chest appears invisible but then trying to open the chest will result in a crash.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: I was using gamemode 1 at the time, I don't know if that has any bearing on the issue. I attempted the furnace, removal, chest placement thing three times in three different places and it occurred all three times. After I restart minecraft, the chest is in place, visible and accessible.
Your Computer Specs and Operating System: Windows7 SP1, 32-bit dual core, 4GB ram, Java 1.6.0_26
Can you repeat this bug: yes
What issues does the bug Cause: Out of memory error with very few chunks loaded. I started a new world that we'll call World1, walked around enough to find some wood and coal, and started building a shelter. Within minutes the game was at 549MB and out of memory. I reloaded the world and the same thing happened even faster. The last verision I played was v1.6 with fairly large worlds including nether and never had memory issues on default JVM settings.
I changed JVM settings to -Xincgc -Xmx1024M and started World2. I wandered around rather than building to generate chunks. I got through about four biomes, memory usage gradually increased, and I eventually got the "invisible ground" bug. Windows showed 1080K ram in use. When I hit escape and saved the world, memory usage did NOT decrease. Reloading World1 always results in an out of memory error within a minute so that save file is corrupt. I quit MC again and started collecting wood in World2. Minecraft crashed quickly with another out of memory error at about 548K ram.
Specific conditions it occurs in if applicable: General gameplay. Building seems to trigger the issue faster, but exploration will do it.
Edit: I made a third world with the JVM set at -Xincgc -Xmx1024M and was able to stay in one area and construct a shelter for the night with no errors. It seems that the default JVM settings are not adequate, and there are file corruption issues if the JVM runs out of memory, even though the error message suggests the world will be saved.

i found a pretty strange glitch, if you place layers of cake (in creative) against a wall, then jump on top of it and walk off, you ll be floating with seemingly no way down. (i found if you log in and out you fall down.)

Sounds like you may have double tapped the jump, and entered fly mode. Double tap it again to deactivate, or use shift to move down.

Ok so I found this little crash bug while making a world. If you have two or more consecutive periods at the end of a world name the game crashs, one period is fine. I've done this multiple times with the same outcome.
He released it for prerelease so that bugs could be found, if you knew anything about bugs is that when you fix one more are sure to appear be patient and stop hating on people for making a game that is still in beta.

What issues does the bug Cause: When mining blocks of various types, dirt, trees, leaves, rocks, iron ore, and coal I find the blocks remain visible. You can walk into them and are able to see through the map to other areas. It is becoming increasingly difficult to navigate with this constant glitching. I find the game lags severely after this happens then speeds up again. Attempts to log out then back in don't always fix the issue.
