*Sigh* I don't give a damn anymore. Simple, it won't effect me, I'm installing a plugin that makes crits you know, actually lucky hits, not relied on attacks. Even if it does 50% more, that's still 8 hearts rounded up, and stupid to take 80% of a mob's hp just because you jump. If mobs hit 9 hearts, sure it's fine then, but they don't.
Anyways! Bed, done arguing over this.
Pm me if you find tentative, useful information! I'll add it asap :smile.gif:
Ok, I rarely sign in, but I had to to reply to your IGNORANT, STUCK UP, ANNOYING rant posts. You are not a game developer who has created one of the most unique and amazing games in the world, Notch is. You do not balance or program games for a living. You ASSUME that giving criticals as a % makes more sense. Shut the hell up and STOP COMPLAINING. You can blame it on "sleep deprevation" all you want, but that's no excuse to be an jerk.
Criticals as a "skill technique", although not a very "skillful" move (jumping), makes the most sense, the only reason criticals are a % in most games is because they have no way of adding a skill technique in their games. Doing a critical is something that requires the person attacking to do something like hit a weak point, or use a move intricate or powerful move, something that jumping and slamming down onto them is. So you're first point is moot as far as im concerned and is only brought about as a cop out the other games use.
Endermen. Yes the idea was taken from something else. WHO CARES!?! The world is FULL TO BURSTING with things using ideas from other things. The endermen arnt even as close to ripping something off as 90% of other games out there. This is something I seriously don't understand you being so frikkin upset over. Get over it, they are in the game, they are going to stay, your opinion won't change a damn thing.
This is Notches brain child. Anything he comes up with is more a part of minecraft than ANYONE elses ideas. In my eyes Notch has done everything perfect. I see NO issues with what has been done to the game. It remains Minecraft, and Minecraft it will stay.
Also to completely smash another of your statements. All of these additions... ARE REALISM. Notch is better of calling it the realism/adventure update. Over half of the new features make the game more "realistic" the reason it's called the adventure update is because he wants the game to reward exploration more. Its a part of the game that is sort of starved.
(I can further tell that you are stuck up because of your stupid poll answers, you just HAD to put something positively inclined towards you in each of the answers didn't you?)

Well, it looks like minecraft decided
"That's a nice everything you've got there... it would be a shame if someone ****ING THREW IT IN ****ING SPACE! :3"
kind of you, but looks like the creator of the thread was more interested in getting a popular thread than preventing the forums getting spammed.
From the very first line of the very first post.
"Ok! I'm rather... tired of seeing these threads, so I am going to keep this thread bumped as much as I can and hope it at least deters players a tiny bit from posting new threads, when all their answers are compiled here!"

silly.
also do you have it down that you CAN break bedrock in creative mode? he does it during the livestream, and I don't think I saw this mentioned in your forum.
Otherwise, great

My theory is that dinosaurs are thin one one end, get much, much bigger in the middle, and are thin again on the other end. This is my theory, and it is mine.
Since it's said that the 1.8 update will be split up, I'm curious to know what content will actually make it into 1.8 and what will be saved until 1.9. I don't think there's any information on this as of yet but I really really want to know!
Ivy can spread by itself, and doesn't actually have an official name. O:
So, it may be vines after all. Should make fruit farming more dynamic.
Land claim flags are planned for SMP...
If the admin gives you one, you can place it,
and only you and selected players may alter the terrain in that area.
I'm not sure I like this idea, but it will definitely alter gameplay.
Meh, peeps will keep posting. It's what they do xD
I posted this thread link to a few, but I don't think it'll help much lol.
Anyways, Biomes:
PAX vid - Notch said there were 7 Biomes in total, including rivers and oceans.
I guess:
Rivers
Oceans
Mountains
Plains
Desert
Forest
??
I'm missing one x.x
He also says that the exp earned from killing mobs will go towards skills or something similar and that you loose all your items (still) AND all your exp/levels? when you die.

"Never underestimate the predictability of human stupidity"
By "losing all of your items", does he mean permanently, or that you can retrieve them if you go back to them?
Seven biomes?
The seventh one would be the mushroom biome, but that would leave no room for tundra/taiga.
Are you sure that rivers count as a biome? They're a randomly generated terrain feature.

Rivers and oceans might be classed as one type...hmm...
Might wanna double-check that if the numbers don't add up. I'm sure he said seven, but he might not be including rivers and oceans in that >.>
'All your items' as in drop em all xD like MC is now.

"Never underestimate the predictability of human stupidity"
He's most likely counting oceans, but not rivers.
Biomes take up a specific area in a radius around them.
Rivers only take up the area in which they run, and they often run through biomes.

I'm not even sure that mushrooms have a separate biome >.> They looked like they were simply scattered around in other biomes from all the screenies I've seen so far. (Talkin giant mushrooms that is)
*Edit*
Source for you for silverfish basically confirmed in 1.8:
at 13 minutes:
"There are silver fish in this one. Don't know if I can find them, their kinda rare and they spawn randomly"
Hope this helps ^^

I would REALLY appreciate silverfish FOOTAGE, though.
I want to know what they look like, how they move, how much damge they do...
http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/552094-minecraft-18-new-mob-silverfish-in-game-fanmade/
How is a fanmade model supposed to answer my questions about the ACTUAL mob?
It was based off of the actual model of silverfish.
Best they have.
They're supposed to randomly pop out of blocks that are mined.
