Endermen have rights too! Just because they are NPCs doesn't mean that they don't want to create things too. They have every bit as much a right to those blocks we do. Every day, thousands of endermen are slaughtered just for being different. They are drowned, stabbed with swords, shot with arrows, looked at funny, prevented from spawning by not building a crappy dirt house and having a properly lit farm.
But there is something you can do. You can speak out against endermen oppression. You can tweet at your game developer and tell them you support enderman rights. We can end the campaign of hate against interesting mobs. We can make a difference.
Share your blocks. Share your heart. Protect the endermen.
It would be funnier if the arugment you're ultimately making wasn't ridiculous and comphrehensively rebutted literally hundreds of times over the past few days.
moat around either well lit or non dirt house. any farms on premises should be lit moated.
Just because you don't like the things they build doesn't mean they shouldn't be allowed to build! Let them be free!
They.. Don't build. Not right now. They don't follow any pattern with their block placement or removal. If/when this gets fixed, they will be an awesome mob.

Just because you don't understand their art doesn't make it any worse than yours. Has it ever occurred to you that building little enclosed rectangles might be just as nonsensical to them as their carefully considered block placement is to us?
No Godwin's law.
No, the town zoning board. Jeez, is that the first place your mind goes for everything? Man, some people.

turning the game development process of fixing either glitchy, faulty, or other wise counter productive mechanics of a game into a racial rights movement is horrible. We are playing a game that is in all rights an incomplete work in progress. Notch has and will make mistakes, especially with implementing new features that look like they might work on paper but fail utterly in practice.
the real sad thing is that your under the impression that endermen actually do stuff with the block they steal but most of the time they just take blocks and randomly place them, much of teh time, however, they simply despawn with the blocks.
but lets take a real look here.
When was the last time you had Notch cave into the communities demands for something that he, himself, didn't agree with? People hated the idea of spiders climbing walls; no apologies for that- still in game. People complained about missing features for maps. No apology for that- still not in game. People complain about the creeper all the time. No public apology- still the same in game. People complain about lanterns and torches not getting the new tweak. No public apology-still not in game. People cried out when he removed the mine cart booster glitch. No apology- not in game.
so With a track record like that, what makes you think that Notch just caved into peoples demands, instead of actually looking at what's going on and realizing that maybe, he was wrong with how he implemented the Endermen? this is the first time he has come out and apologized for a feature, with a promise to fix it. I got a feeling that since Notch does as he pleases, that this was on his own volition, and that he actually agrees with what the majority of the community feels is a problem.
Endermen is only mob in the game that do something sensible, at least visible.
If we can't comprehend their logic it doesn't mean they have no logic at all.
Anyways, THEY could consider our own ingame activity strange and annoying too, from their
endermanish point of view :smile.gif:
Don't be egoistic, you don't have the world entirely.

Also, the AI needs to be overhauled so they can at least build simple structures before they get their block moving privileges back.

They seem to have a thing for alpine cheese...
Which really has more artistic value:
I'm sure having your house look like cheese in minecraft is so visually appealing...

No one likes PETA. They've made a bad name for themselves. :tongue.gif:
