i agree, so far. keep in mind i havent been able to play for more than 5 minutes at a time. but i took like 4 creeper blasts in the face and survived. i can just stand there and tank arrows from a skeleton endlessly. it's pretty ridiculous. i like the idea of having a hunger bar but it's severely overpowered right now. there's no survival involved. there's nothing scary about it anymore.
killing enderman is incredibly easy, even with other monsters attacking at the same ****ing time.
Other mobs were easy before if you had decent equipment and food... unless you sucked. Why should this change?
Creepers and Skeletons did get a small nerf... Less arrow spam, and shorter distance to be hurt by the explosion, but a full charged arrow from a skeleton hurts if unarmored.
Only when food bar is full and only if you keep eating. It's designed this way so that people can actually survive in some of the new places, like mines and strongholds. Underground ravines also tend to mean lots more spawns.
no more complex buildings are needed for survival.
I disagree. Now people need to make chicken farms or other renewable places for food instead of just killing pigs for a day and being ready for a week or two of adventuring. About the only advanced structure that is affected by the update is that some mob grinders can now get broken because of endermen picking up blocks. Everything else is still needed in much the same way that caves didn't keep people from digging their own mines.

well, like, it couldn't have been all at once because a single creeper blast will kill all the others around it before they pop. creepers can still kill you in one hit with no armor, and health only regens at a half heart per sec IF food is above 80% which is much harder to obtain when I purposely start on a island with no passive mobs and I survived off the rotten flesh of the land.
Running around in forests collecting mountains of beef and pork for zero hunger makes it no harder now as it did when you could instantly heal with food anyway.
I hate to sound like I'm in the mood for a buttrape, but the game is rather easy, not that it was super hard before, most deaths were always caused by falls/creepers, and now they make up even more from maybe 60 to 75% now. The ability to one shot enemies with crits combined with knockbacks makes any enemy you see nothing more than ores to be mined. x] I think the new health/food system has the potential to improve/toughen combat, but right now it's just made it easier, with how easy it is to steal wheat from villages at this moment.
If you don't like it, just mod your game. What's the point in complaining on the forums? The only thing I can see that you would get out of making a thread like this is attention. Is that just what you're after? Attention? If so, this isn't the place for you.

semantics etc. yes it was one after the other in about a 10 second time frame. one of them was right on top of me and i had no armor. i didn't die. then health regen saved me from the next one literally seconds later. getting hit by a creeper without armor before would - at best - cripple you with only a heart or 1/2 heart and send you desperately running for shelter, and because food didn't stack you couldn't always spam your way back to full health at any time.
i'm not saying it should go back to the old system - i'm glad notch is trying to make it more nuanced. but something is BROKEN if you can load up a new survival mode game on hard mode and immediately tank damage from the most dangerous mob in the game without any consequences.

your health goes up too fast
animals are just too easy to get and kill.
no more complex buildings are needed for survival.
and bows are OP now
tell me what you think.
I've actually died more since 1.8 than I did before 1.8.
And how are animals easier to kill? Their health is the same, but now they run away, rather than dumbly sitting there.

Always were... Just you tend to run out of them now unless you're in the middle of a plains.

Always were, now less spammy.
I think you need to stop QQing so much because the game doesn't buttrape you the moment you start.

... and here comes the haters
seriously, just go play something else. you're boring everyone with your one liners of shame.
